Oct. 4: Police contacted a 16-year-old Palmer male for possession of marijuana and a knife at school. The male was contacted by school officials following a report he had drugs on his person. Charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance are being forwarded to Juvenile Intake.

VANDALISM
Oct. 4: A 59-year-old Wasilla man called the police department to report a window had been broken out of a school bus by a thrown rock as the bus was returning children home from school. No students were injured and the incident is under investigation.
WARRANT ARREST
Oct. 5: Daniel O’Niell, 48, of Anchorage was contacted as a passenger of a vehicle stopped for a REDDI investigation. O’Niell was placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant for failure to report to jail to serve time on an original charge of assault IV. O’Niell was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where he was held without bail.
DUI
Oct. 6: Police arrested Stacy M. Cope, 45, of Palmer for allegedly driving under the influence while investigating a REDDI report. Cope was remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where bail was set at $1,000.
THEFT
Oct. 7: A 24-year-old Palmer woman reported the theft of an Xbox game system and game from her residence.
DWLCSR
Oct. 8: While conducting enforcement for the Click-It or Ticket campaign, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Crystalen L. Bradeen, 25, of Palmer for a seat belt violation. Following an investigation, Bradeen was arrested for driving while license suspended. Bradeen was issued a summons to appear in court and released at the scene.
WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT
DUI / DWI
Oct. 6: Police received a report of a vehicle driving over the lane lines at erratic speeds. The vehicle was located and stopped on Old Matanuska Road. The driver was identified as Jason Hall, 19, of Wasilla and exhibited signs of being under the influence of alcohol. After failing a series of field sobriety tests, Hall was arrested for driving under the influence and he submitted a breath sample to determine his breath alcohol concentration. Hall was transported and held at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility until sober.
Oct. 6: Police stopped Cherissa Wilson, 22, of Palmer on Frontage Road after a REDDI report she was observed driving eastbound on the Parks Highway in the westbound lane cutting off a vehicle. Upon further investigation, Wilson was arrested for driving while intoxicated and a probation violation. Wilson was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where her probation was revoked.
THEFT / SHOPLIFTING
Oct. 6: Police received a call from an employee at the Alaska Spa Depot reporting a grill had been stolen. The estimated value of the items taken was $5,000. An investigation is ongoing.
Oct. 6: An employee of ShopRite reported Edward Wooley, 40, of Wasilla allegedly stole $25.74 worth of merchandise. The case is being forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution for the charge of theft III.
Oct. 6: Police were contacted by a Fred Meyer loss prevention officer, who reported he had observed an unidentified male steal a pair of boots from the store and flee the scene.

Oct. 6: An anonymous person reported seeing a male in a pickup displaying Alaska license plate DZK688 with a beer in his hand. A subsequent investigation found probable cause to believe Rory Vail, 18, of Wasilla was driving while his driver's license is revoked and he was issued a summons to appear in court.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Oct. 6: Police responded to Mile 2 Knik-Goose Bay Road for a medical assist with Mat-Su Fire and Rescue. A 47-year-old Goodnews Bay man was transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for an undisclosed medical condition. The bicycle he was riding was taken to the police department for safekeeping and later claimed by its owner.
LOST AND FOUND
Oct. 8: Police received a report from a 54-year-old Wasilla man he found suspicious items behind a trash container. A gray and blue backpack with miscellaneous items was retrieved and checked in for safekeeping to be claimed by the owner.
VANDALISM
Oct. 8: A woman reported her vehicle had been damaged the evening before. She alleged having problems with a neighbor and alleged the neighbor had keyed her car, damaging the paint job.

Oct. 1, 10:38 p.m.: Troopers in Palmer issued Andrea Dunnigan, 41, of Palmer a summons for driving while license suspended after she was contacted at the intersection of Inner Springer Loop and Outer Springer Loop in Palmer for a traffic violation.
Oct. 4, 8:05 p.m.: Troopers stopped a 1996 Buelle motorcycle for an equipment violation near Pittman Road and Karen Street. Investigation revealed the driver, Glenn Colen, 43, of Wasilla, was driving while license revoked. Colen was issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.
Oct. 5, 12:05 a.m.: The South-Central DUI Enforcement Team stopped a vehicle on Pinnacle Peak Drive in Wasilla for not having its headlights illuminated. Investigation revealed the operator, Ronald Keller II, 37, of Wasilla was operating the vehicle with an suspended driver's license. Keller also had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on a original charge of driving while license suspended. Keller was arrested, remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $1,000 bail.
Oct. 6, 1:50 p.m.: Troopers stopped a Chevy S-10 at Mile 86 Parks Highway for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Kent Brendgard, 38, of Willow. Investigation revealed Brendgard had a suspended driver’s license. Brendgard was issued a summons to appear in court and his vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
Oct. 7, 10:25 a.m.: Troopers stopped a 1990 Eagle Talon near the intersection of Knik-Goose Bay Road and Hallie Drive in Wasilla for a moving violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Michael Cooley, 23, of Wasilla. Investigation found Cooley was driving on a suspended driver's license. Cooley was issued a summons to appear in court on the charge of driving while license is suspended. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
Oct. 7, 7:27 p.m.: Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 1997 Mercury Sable for an equipment violation. Patrick John, 30, of Willow was driving with a suspended Idaho driver’s license. Patrick was issued a uniform summons for driving while license suspended and cited for the equipment violation.
Oct. 8, 5:20 a.m.: Troopers stopped a vehicle near the intersection of the Parks Highway and Big Lake Road for crossing the center line of the roadway. The driver was identified as Marty G. Veltri, 44, of Anchorage. Investigation revealed Veltri's driver's license has been revoked, had no proof of insurance in the vehicle and registration was expired. Veltri was issued a summons for driving while his license is revoked and citations for no proof of insurance and expired registration. The vehicle was released to a licensed driver.
ASSAULT
Oct. 6, 2:25 a.m.: Troopers responded to a residence off Lucille Creek Drive for a fight in progress. Anna Rogers, 20 of Big Lake was arrested for assault IV on a police officer and resisting arrest. Brian Rogers, 19, of Big Lake was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Investigation revealed that Jennie Thompson, 18, of Big Lake allegedly assaulted a 20-year-old male by breaking a beer bottle over his head. Thompson was arrested, transported and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, where bail was set at $2,500 cash. Brian Rogers was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, where bail was set at $500 cash. Anna Rogers was also transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility with bail set at $2,500 cash.
Oct. 6, 6:54 p.m.: Troopers responded to a residence on Love Lee Lane near Talkeetna on a report of a verbal disturbance among family members. Investigation revealed Christopher Lingenfelter, 37, of Talkeetna allegedly assaulted a family member by slapping and punching the person in the head. When troopers arrived, Lingenfelter fled into the woods. After a short foot pursuit, Lingenfelter was contacted by troopers and challenged troopers to a fist fight and physically resisted arrest. He was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on charges of assault IV (DV), disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Oct. 7, 2:08 a.m.: The South-Central DUI Enforcement Team contacted Chance David James Gypin, 18, of Big Lake after he drove a stolen vehicle into a ditch on Big Lake Road near Lions Court. Gypin was found to be operating the vehicle under the influence on a suspended driver's license and had at one point dragged the owner of the vehicle for several feet as he attempted to flee with the vehicle. Gypin drove the vehicle a short distance before he went into the ditch. The owner caught up to him and subdued Gypin until troopers arrived. Gypin was arrested for assault III, vehicle theft I, driving under the influence, driving while license suspended, minor operating after consuming alcohol and minor consuming alcohol. He was remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $10,000 bail.
WARRANT ARREST
Oct. 1, 12:15 p.m.: Troopers stopped a Nissan sedan at Mile 75 Parks Highway for an equipment violation. The driver was identified as Alan Fischer, 55, of Willow. In investigation revealed Fischer had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear in court on a no valid operator’s license charge. Fischer was remanded into Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, where bail was set at $250.
Oct. 6, 7:40 a.m.: Troopers contacted Kurtis Anderson, 19, of Anchorage while investigating a motor vehicle collision. Investigation revealed that Anderson had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for failure to appear on an original charge of minor consuming alcohol, repeat offender. Anderson was arrested, transported and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility, where bail was set at $250.
Oct. 8, 2:15 p.m.: Troopers from Palmer arrested Nick Tandecki, 18, of Wasilla on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving without a valid operator’s license. Tandecki was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and held on $500 bail.
THEFT / BURGLARY
Sept. 29, 8:20 p.m.: Troopers discovered a broken window at Willow Elementary School. A search of the school revealed unknown suspects had entered the school and broken several windows to gain entry to various classrooms. It was unknown what suspects stole from the school. Damage is estimated at $2,000.
Oct. 1, 4:17 p.m.: Troopers responded to a reported vehicle theft that happened between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 1. Someone stole a red and black 1995 Honda TRX 300 ATV from behind the garage of the complainant.
Oct. 2, 1:03 p.m.: A 64-year-old Wasilla man reported that sometime the previous weekend unknown person(s) entered his residence on West Neptune Circle and stole a chain saw, two firearms and some DVDs. Loss is estimated at $500.
Oct. 4, 8:58 a.m.: Troopers responded to a residence near Wasilla off Knik-Goose Bay Road for a report of a dirt bike theft. Sometime during the night, unknown person(s) took a 70cc Cruz-n dirt bike. It was mostly orange in color and sold at Schuck's Auto Parts. There were two male subjects in the area prior to the theft who may be involved, troopers report. They were both described as white, late teens or early 20s with baggy jeans, short dark hair and ear piercings. They were driving an older foreign compact pickup with flat gray primer on the front end.
Oct. 6, 3:30 p.m.: Troopers received a report of a stolen vehicle from Fishhook Tire & Auto in Wasilla. A 48-year-old Wasilla man reported that a gold 1985 Jeep Cherokee bearing Alaska License plate ESV504 was stolen from his business sometime overnight. The vehicle has visible rust on the body and valued at $1,500. An investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to call troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
Oct. 6: Troopers responded to a report of theft in the 3000 block of Caryshea Street in Wasilla. Investigation shows a 22-foot Leisure Craft boat with an outboard motor was stolen from the area along with its trailer. This case is still under investigation. Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged call troopers or Crime Stoppers.
Oct. 7, 11:22 a.m.: A 51-year-old Wasilla man reported that sometime between Oct. 1 and Oct. 7 someone stole collectible currency from a residence on Van Buskirk Drive in Wasilla. Total loss is estimated at $2,600. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact troopers or Crime Stoppers.
Oct. 8, 4:22 p.m.: Troopers investigated a reported burglary and theft at a residence on Voss Road in Wasilla. Investigation revealed multiple pieces of welding equipment were stolen from an attached garage within the past two weeks. The items reported stolen include a red Lincoln SP125 wire feed welder, a green 4-foot oxygen tank, a red 3-foot acetylene tank and a 25-foot hose with torch kit. Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact troopers or Crime Stoppers.
Oct. 8, 4 p.m.: A 52-year-old Palmer resident reported property stolen from her residence by a 17-year-old guest from Anchorage. The Palmer resident was trying to help the teen get her life straightened out but realized the teen did not want help, troopers report. Several electronic items and gold jewelry valued at about $800 were stolen.
