Oct. 29, 11:45 p.m.: Near Wasilla, troopers arrested Bun Snider, 52, of Wasilla for assault IV involving domestic violence after he allegedly caused physical injury to female adult. Snider was transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and is being held without bail.

Oct. 28, 9:25 p.m.: Troopers responded to a residence at 5801 Yadon Drive for a report of a burglary. Contact was made with Dan McDowell, 51, of Wasilla who reported that his wife's purse had been stolen. Investigation revealed that on Oct. 28, at about 7:30 p.m., a person or persons entered the unlocked house and took a purse from the upstairs living room. McDowell was downstairs watching the television, when he heard noises upstairs and came up to see who was there. McDowell observed a newer dark-colored GMC pickup backing out the driveway. The purse contained credit cards but no cash. The case is under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.
Oct. 30, 12:35 a.m.: Troopers responded to Mile 2.5 Knik-Goose Bay Road for a reported burglary at the Coffee Couple and Cafe. Investigation revealed a screen and window were broken about 11:35 p.m. on Oct. 29. Two outside security lights were also broken. Nothing was missing from inside the business. Oct. 30, 5:18 a.m.: Troopers responded to Cup of Joe's at Parks and Vine in Wasilla, for a report of a burglary and theft. Contact was made with Tracye Rismoen of Wasilla, who reported her coffee stand was burglarized and money was taken from the till. Investigation revealed that between 7 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 5 a.m. on Oct. 30, forced entry was made and nearly $400 was taken from the cash register. There were three other coffee stands broken into in a similar fashion during the same time period in a 5-mile radius. The case is under investigation. Nov. 1, 2:10 a.m.: Troopers responded to a Wasilla residence for a reported disturbance with gunfire. Investigation revealed 20-year-old Jeremy Kosbruk of Wasilla and 18-year-old Matthew Peterson allegedly gained illegal forced entry into the residence, brandished a firearm and threatened the occupants using the firearm. Subsequent investigation revealed the residence contained an undisclosed amount of illegal schedule VI controlled substance as well as manufacturing materials. Kosbruk and Peterson were arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where they were each held on a total of $5,000 cash bail on the charges of robbery I, burglary I, and assault III. Misconduct conduct involving a controlled substance IV charges are expected to be filed against the residents of the apartment and the case is still under investigation.
WARRANT ARREST
Oct. 28, 7:15 p.m.: Near Wasilla, troopers arrested Leigh Ann Kerby, 41, of Wasilla on a warrant for failure to appear for driving while her license is revoked. Kerby's bail was $500 cash or corporate. Kerby was transported to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and remanded into their custody.
Oct. 31, 8:15 p.m.: Troopers conducted a welfare check at a residence in Wasilla. While at the residence, troopers contacted David Anderson, 25, of Wasilla. Investigation revealed Anderson had an outstanding arrest warrant with the original charge of assault IV. K-9 Roelle was on scene during the arrest. Anderson was arrested without an incident. Anderson was transported and remanded into Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and is being held without bail.
Nov. 1, 8:09 p.m.: Troopers arrested Margie Thompson, 28, of Wasilla for an outstanding no-bail arrest warrant for failure to serve time on an original charge of forgery III. She was arrested at her residence in Wasilla during an unrelated investigation and lodged at Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility.
DUI
Nov. 1, 12:45 a.m.: The Trooper South Central DUI Enforcement Team contacted Deborah Langlois, 47, of Wasilla at Mile 49 of the Parks Highway in Wasilla, after a REDDI report. Langlois was allegedly operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol and with a revoked driver license. Langlois was arrested on scene and remanded to the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility where she was held on a $1,500 bail.

Nov. 1, 12:40 a.m.: Troopers stopped a black 2000 Plymouth Breeze at Mile 49 of the Parks Highway for an equipment violation. Clinton W. Poland, 38, of Anchorage was driving with a revoked license. Poland was issued a summons to appear and the car was released to a licensed driver.
MVC
Nov. 1, 6:42 p.m.: Troopers responded to Knik-Goose Bay Road and Settlers Bay Drive for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a moose. John Mathot, 17, of Wasilla was driving his 1998 Ford Escort southbound on Knik-Goose Bay Road when a moose ran into his lane of travel. Mathot collided with the moose and went into the ditch. Mathot suffered minor head injuries and was transported to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. Mathot reported wearing his safety belt.
Nov. 1, 2:06 p.m.: Troopers responded to a three-car motor vehicle collision on 49th State Street near Ortner Loop in Palmer. Investigation revealed Bethany R. John, 16, of Palmer was traveling south on 49th State Street in a 1999 Chevy pickup when she rear-ended a 1993 Buick sedan, also traveling south and slowing for traffic, driven by Katherine A. Schmidt, 16, of Wasilla. Schmidt's Buick then lunged forward and rear-ended a 1987 Jeep pickup, which was stopped in the southbound lane of 49th State Street and operated by Rachel C. Katsur, 17, of Wasilla. All parties reported wearing seatbelts and no injuries were reported. Damage to John's Chevy was estimated at $4,000 while damage to Schmidt's Buick was estimated at $6,000. Damage to Katsur's jeep was estimated at $500. John was issued a citation for driver failing to exercise due care to avoid a collision.

FALSIFICATION / TAKING GAME WITHOUT APPROPRIATE LICENSE
Oct. 24: The Alaska Wildlife Troopers Mat-Su West Post, with assistance from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division, concluded a residency investigation of Stan Steiner, 56, of Georgia. Investigation revealed Steiner purchased resident hunting and fishing licenses, a resident brown bear tag, and put in for several resident-only hunts when he had not met Alaska residency requirements in order to purchase the licenses, tags, and drawing hunts. Further investigation revealed Steiner killed a brown bear without a licensed big game guide during a drawing hunt on Kodiak Island in 2007. Charges have been forwarded to the Anchorage District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT
THEFT
Oct. 26: An 18-year-old employee of Kaladi Brothers in Wasilla alleged two white male adults had taken a jar that contained donations for a fundraiser. Lacrosse said the two suspects entered the store and loitered for about 10 minutes. One of the males got up from a table where they were sitting and left the store. Two minutes later, the second male got up and stood near the counter. The second male picked up a large plastic jar containing about $30 dollars and ran out the door. The employee said an unknown customer stated the two suspects left the area in a purple Neon-type vehicle. The investigation continues.
Oct. 26: Police were called to a residence on Check Street for a complaint that prescription medication had been stolen. A 39-year-old Wasilla woman alleged a 14-year-old male took prescription medication out of her medicine cabinet. The 14-year-old was a friend of the victim's daughter. Police were unable to contact the male juvenile and the investigation continues.
Oct. 29: Police contacted a 22-year-old Willow man who reported his Visa card had been missing. Investigation showed Cory C. Frantzich, 24, of Wasilla had found the Visa card and allegedly attempted to use it at Wendy's in Wasilla. Charges will be submitted to the District Attorney's office.
Oct. 30: A 29-year-old Wasilla man called police to report his tools, worth approximately $2,000, were stolen from a structure on Flag Circle.
Oct. 30: Police received a report from a 34-year-old Wasilla man of medication stolen from his vehicle at Wal-Mart. The investigation continues.
Oct. 30: Wasilla Police received a report a 2000 Jeep had been stolen from East Swanson Avenue within the previous few hours.
Oct. 30: Gary Gudz contacted Wasilla Police and reported a theft at his business. Unknown persons had cut the fence at the back of his business, Rain Pro Roofing on Lucus, entered the yard and stole around 200 gallons of gas and a Yamaha generator. He placed a value on the loss at around $3,600.
Oct. 30: Wasilla Police received a report of a car stolen from the parking lot by D & A ShopRite between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. while the owner was at work at Jalapeno’s. The value of the vehicle was placed at approximately $350.
LOST AND FOUND
Oct. 28: Kenneth Barkley, 43, of Wasilla turned in a tool belt found in the area of the Parks Highway. The item was placed into evidence for safekeeping until claimed.
Oct. 28: A wallet was located on the eastbound side of the Parks Highway near the intersection with Alpine Street. Multiple identification cards in the wallet identified the owner as Michael Foy, 29, of Wasilla. Attempts were made to contact Foy by telephone with negative results. The wallet and the cash were logged into evidence as found property until claimed by the owner.
Oct. 30: A passerby dropped off a purse found at Horizon and Starlight. The owner of the purse was contacted and claimed her purse at the Wasilla Police Department.
DWLCSR
Oct. 27: An employee from Alaska USA Federal Credit Union called to report there was a person in the drive through bank area slurring her words and having a difficult time focusing. Following an investigation, Deborah Poitry, 42, of Houston was issued a summons to appear in court for the charge of driving while her license was suspended.
Oct. 27: Police conducted a routine traffic stop on a red Nissan Pathfinder. Daniel Christiansen, 26, of Wasilla was charged with operating a motor vehicle while his license is suspended, and issued a summons to appear in court on the charge.
Oct. 30: Police conducted a traffic stop on Stanley Zajchowski, 53, of Wasilla for failing to yield when making a left turn and almost causing an accident. Zajchowski was driving on a suspended driver license. Zajchowski was issued a summons to appear on the charge and was released.
MVC
Oct. 30: Police responded to Mile 3 of Knik Goose Bay Road in Wasilla for a motor vehicle collision with a moose. Police contacted Penny A. Nohr, age 57, of Wasilla who struck a moose with her car. Nohr was checked by medics.
