HIT AND RUN

Nov. 12: Police responded to the parking lot of 875 W. Commercial Drive for a report of a hit and run collision. Tosha Anderson, 30, of Wasilla reported her car had been struck by an unknown vehicle while it had been parked between 7:50 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The investigation continues.

Nov. 17: Police were called to the McDonald’s parking lot for a hit and run. Upon arrival, police met with the owner of the vehicle that had been hit, Joanna Papasodora, 24, of Wasilla, who said while she was in the drive-through lane a black Chevy Tahoe behind her  drove out of line and hit the right front fender of Papasodora’s vehicle. The case is still being investigated.

THEFT / SHOPLIFTING

Nov. 11: Police were contacted by the loss prevention officers at Fred Meyer who reported a 16-year-old female was in custody for allegedly shoplifting more than $250 worth of costume jewelry. The merchandise was recovered and the juvenile was released to her mother. Charges of theft III will be forwarded to Juvenile Intake.

Nov. 14: Benjamin Barber, 18, of Wasilla reported that someone broke into his truck sometime between the hours of 7:30 and 10:35 a.m. and stole an amplifier and a 30GB video iPod. Access was gained through a wing window on the passenger side of the vehicle. The total loss was $700. The damage to the window is estimated to be $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.

Nov. 14: It was reported that someone had entered a vehicle while it was parked at Wasilla High School between the hours of 7:30 and 10:35 a.m. and stole a speaker box with subwoofers in it. Total loss is estimated to be $185. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police department.

    " There was a homicide in Palmer in the last 24 hours and you only have posted police blotter info from Nov 14. You have an online newspaper. How about posting up to date info. "
