Troy A. Hill Wasilla resident Troy Allan Hill, 37, passed away Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 at home peacefully in his sleep. Hill was born May 18, 1970 in Yakima, Wash. He moved to Alaska in 1997 and resided in Homer, Fairbanks and most recently Wasilla. Hill enjoyed snowmachining, four wheeling, fishing, hunting and helping people. His family states, “Troy was a very loving son, brother, father of six and friend. He was a wonderful man that would do anything for you and would always put everyone in front of himself. He loved every one of his children and always said that they were the reason for him being here. He will be deeply missed and truly loved.” Hill is survived by his mother and step-father Rose and Dan Gagne of Homer; brother Brian Sharpe of Fallon, Nev.; sister and brother-in-law Michelle and Philip Henley of Homer; girlfriend Alice DeClipplaar of Eagle River; children Troy Jensen-Hill Jr., Timothy Jensen-Hill and their mother Jennifer Jensen of Silverdale, Wash.; and children Taya Vande Velde, Trevor Hill, Tucker Hill, Tanner Hill and their mother Erica Hill of Belfair, Wash. Hill was proceeded in death by his father Terry Lee Hill; grandparents Lennise and Juanita Camfield and Reno and Verdie Hill. A service was held Wednesday, March 5 at the Palmer Train Depot.
