TIMOTHY RAY BASS

Timothy Ray Bass, 38, died May 24, 2008 at home in Wasilla. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday, June 2, at the Valley Funeral Home Wasilla Chapel.

Bass was born Oct. 7, 1969 in Seward and lived in Moose Pass, Cooper Landing, Seward and finally Wasilla. His two main careers were commercial fishing and cooking. He was very happy with his last job working on the North Slope.

His family said he enjoyed camping, fishing with his kids, his family, golf, do-it-yourself projects at home, and his cars and yard.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya V. Bass of Wasilla; sons Travis Lindsey, Timothy Bass and Taylor Bass, all of Wasilla; sister Mary Hribernick of Seward; brothers Bobby Bass of Wasilla, Tommy Bass and Jimmy Bass of Anchorage; mother Ewana Jackson of Wasilla; father Jack Bass of Wasilla; grandmother Helen Jackson of Palmer; aunt Carol Blacthford of Texas; and uncles Rick and Ron Jackson of Texas.

He was preceded in death by grandfathers Roy Jackson and Sam Taylor Bass; grandmother Sara Katherine Bass; great-grandfather William Edward Bass; and great-grandmother Flossie Bass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bass Family, 2460  Terrell Dr.,  Wasilla, AK 99654.

His ashes will be scattered at Resurrection Bay.

Valley Funeral Homes and Crematory of Wasilla and Palmer is assisting the family.
