PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT THEFT May 19: A 41-year-old Palmer man reported unknown persons broke into his vehicles and stole the faceplates from the stereos. May 20, Cedar Hills Subdivision: A 31-year-old female of Palmer reported cash and an iPOD stolen from her unlocked vehicle. May 20: A 43-year-old male of Palmer reported that during the night of May 19 someone entered his 2005 Chrysler van in his driveway and took two Pioneer headrest monitors and a Canon digital camera. May 20: A 37-year-old Palmer female reported theft of prescription medicine. Charge: reckless driving. LOST AND FOUND May 16, near Hatcher Pass:A Motorola cell phone was found somewhere near Hatcher Pass. When the phone was turned in, police were notified the owner had been contacted and arrangements made for the phone to be picked up at the station. The owner is still unknown to police and has not picked up the phone as of May 26. The phone will be held for 30 days, then disposed of. Watts, 38, Anchorage, contacted during motor vehicle accident investigation at the Big Lake Hotel. Charge: $250 warrant for failure to appear. MVC May 25, 8 a.m., Mile 5 S. Big Lake Road: Noah D. Stansberry, 24, Wasilla, and a passenger borrowed the registered owner’s vehicle, a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, after consuming alcohol at the Hangar Lounge. Stansberry lost control while navigating a corner causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times. No injuries; both parties reported wearing their seat-belts; vehicle a total loss. Charge: DUI.
