PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

DWLCSR / NVOL

June 16: Rhonda Lincoln, 26, Anchorage, summonsed for DWOL (driving without valid license) during a traffic stop.

June 18: Daniel Ray Nissen, 21, Palmer, summonsed after officer observed him driving and had knowledge he was DWLS (driving while license suspended).

June 18: Thomas Francis Fidler, 38, Palmer, summonsed for DWLS after being contacted for an equipment violation.

June 20: Kent Charles Matte, 41, Palmer, arrested for DWLR (driving while license revoked) following traffic stop for no seat belt. Bail, $250 cash or corporate.

June 22: Loni J.M. Micheilssen, 20, Wasilla, summonsed for DWOL, and Sean M. Refour, 22, Wasilla, summonsed for permitting unauthorized person to drive, following a traffic stop.

June 22: Michael Wood, 46, Wasilla, was summonsed for DWLR.

June 17, Click It or Ticket Campaign: James J. Cogan III, 18, Big Lake, arrested for DWLR and violating conditions of release. Bail $1,000.

DUI

June 16: Aaron Lomack, 32, Anchorage, arrested for DUI (driving under the influence) after a stop for speeding. Held until sober.

June 18: Chad Baker, 25, Anchorage, arrested for DUI after a stop for speeding. Bail, $2,000.

THEFT

June 17, Cedar Hills: A 17-year-old male allegedly broke into vehicles and stole a controlled prescription. Remanded to Mat-Su Youth Facility on charges of MICS (misconduct involving controlled substance IV), trespassing II, theft IV and MCA (minor consuming alcohol).

June 17, Alaska Choice Hotel: An employee reported several items stolen from one of the rooms. Value, $225. Suspect identified.

June 19, Carrs/Safeway: After allegedly being observed concealing $97.80 worth of DVDs on his person, Dale A. Bruesch, 31, Palmer, summonsed for concealment of merchandise.

June 20: A 34-year-old Palmer female reported someone stole her daughter’s bicycle on June 17.

June 21: A 48-year-old female, Palmer, reported her son’s bicycle had been stolen within the last week.

WARRANT ARREST

June 17: Derek F. Burkett, 18, Palmer, contacted at his residence and arrested on a warrant for FTA (failure to appear), original charge of DWOL. Bail $250.

June 19: Amber Renee Cornell, 21, Palmer, for a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWLS. Bail, $500 cash or corporate. 

ELUDING

June 17: Kiel S. Schulthiess, 20, Georgia, failed to stop for speeding. Once stopped, Schulthiess arrested for eluding II. Bail $1,500.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

June 17: Police received a disturbance report between a 35-year-old Palmer male and a 39-year-old Palmer female. Both parties were separated. Charges of DV (domestic violence) criminal mischief IV forwarded to District Attorney on the female.

MVC

June 18, Glenn Hwy. at Rose Dr.: Susan F. Michaelis, 56, Eagle River, was traveling south when she collided with a vehicle operated by Mark R. Olson, 45, Palmer, who was turning. No injuries. Seatbelts worn.  

HINDERING

June 18: Police observed Jason M. Jensen, 19, Palmer, enter a residence. Jensen had a warrant for FTA, original charge DWLS. During warrant service, officers were hindered by Tyler R. Jensen, 21, Palmer, and Tiffany L. Simmons, 18, Palmer. Jason M. Jensen arrested on the warrant and for MCA. Bail, $750. Tyler R. Jensen arrested for hindering prosecution II. Bail, $500. Charges of hindering prosecution II forwarded to District Attorney on Simmons.

ASSAULT

June 19: A 17-year-old female and her 18-year-old boyfriend, both of Palmer, became involved in an argument and the female attempted to stop the male from leaving. A charge of DV assault IV forwarded to Juvenile Justice on the female. Juvenile Intake advised to release the female into parental custody.

MCA

June 21: Dustin L. Helmandollar, 18, Palmer, a 16-year-old male of Sutton and a 15-year-old female of Palmer summonsed for MCA following a traffic violation.

WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

THEFT

June 19, 5:20 p.m., Wonderland Skateboard Park: Jaime Sherwood, 23, Chugiak, contacted related to a theft from a Tesoro Station on June 18. Sherwood and another male, Billy John, were identified as the suspects in the theft. John cited for theft and Sherwood arrested on a warrant for FTC (failure to comply) and also charged with theft. Sherwood remanded at Mat-Su Pre-Trial.

June 19, 9:35 p.m., Wasilla Pool: A 32-year-old Wasilla female reported her son’s cell phone was stolen from his locker. Investigation continues.

WARRANT ARREST

June 19, 9:15 p.m., Parks Hwy. at Crusey St.: David Bundy, 25, Wasilla, arrested on a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWLS, during a traffic stop. Bundy transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.

June 20, 1:40 a.m., Chili’s: During a follow-up investigation on a separate crime, John Dehaven, 38, Anchorage, arerested on two FTA warrants and one eluding warrant. Bail, $2,000.

DWLCSR

June 19, 9:50 p.m.: Jacob Gearing, 20, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation and summonsed for DWOL.

ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

BURGLARY

June 20, 10:13 p.m., Mile 7.5 Big Lake Rd.:  A garage side door and a main entry door were damaged between June 16 and 20 and a 2005 Polaris 800cc ATV was stolen. Damage, $550. Call troopers at 745-2131 or the Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

June 20, 6:38 p.m., Starboard Ln., Big Lake: Sometime between June 16 and 20, a main residence door and garage side door were damaged. Damage, $600. Call troopers at 745-2131 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

June 21, 5:40 a.m., Ruth Dr., Wasilla: Unknown person(s) entered the residence through the front door between 5:20 and 5:40 a.m. and awoke the resident. Various items taken, including a .45 cal. Glock handgun, Toshiba laptop computer and a Motorola cell phone. Estimated value, $1,400. Call troopers at 373-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 745-3333.

ASSAULT

June 19, 11:46 p.m., S. Big Lake Rd.: Keith A Bailey, 49, Anchorage, allegedly assaulted a male co-worker during an argument. Bailey summonsed for assault IV.

DUI

June 21, 3:34 a.m., Lucille St. near Nelson Ave.: William I. Candler, 35, Wasilla, was summonsed for DUI (driving under the influence) during a traffic stop.arty.

DWLCSR / NVOL / VIOLATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL PERMIT

June 21, 1:39 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. near Edlund Rd.: Kellsie L.J. Green, 17, Wasilla, was driving in violation of her instructional permit. Summonsed and released to a parent.

June 21, 2:36 a.m., Mile 3.5 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Ernest R. Carver-Savok, 21, Wasilla, was found to be DWLS. Summonsed and released.

June 21, 2:15 a.m., Seldon Rd.: Leterry D. Benton, 17, Palmer, was summonsed for NVOL following a stop for speeding.

MVC

June 21, 10:16 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd., near Foothills Rd.: Kathryn Buettner, 47, Wasilla, lost control of her vehicle and drove off the roadway. Seatbelt worn. Buettner transported to Mat-Su Regional by EMS. Damage, approximately $5,000.

June 14, Deshka River: James Benson, 55, Wasilla, cited for failure to log. Bail, $110.

June 15, 7:08 p.m.: John Bradley, 56, Willow, cited for failure to log. Bail, $110.
