Petrin, 21, Willow, failed to yield and eluded for approximately 12 miles when he laid the motorcycle on its side. Petrin and passenger uninjured. Charges: DUI (driving under the influence) and DWLR. Bail, $3,000.

June 22, 10:52 p.m., 3851 Old Matanuska Rd.: Tara A. Steward, 25, Wasilla, driving eastbound lost control of the vehicle. Steward and passenger transported to Mat-Su Regional for injuries. Seatbelts worn. Vehicle, total loss. Steward found to be DWLR and alcohol was a factor.
June 23, 8:54 p.m., Pittman Rd. near Fireweed Fields: Michael Canter, 39, Wasilla, southbound when he lost control of his vehicle negotiating a curve, left the roadway and rolled into the ditch. Canter and passenger transported to Mat-Su Regional for injuries. Seatbelts worn. Vehicle, total loss.
June 23, 3:47 p.m., Mile 91 Parks Hwy.: Clyde Connolly, 58, Talkeetna, was northbound and crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided with a 2009 Peterbilt driven by Joshua McMillen, 30, Anchorage. Connolly’s vehicle rolled off the highway and struck a tree. Seatbelts worn. Connolly was extricated from his vehicle and transported to Mat-Su Regional for injuries. McMillen uninjured. Connolly’s vehicle a total loss. Damage to the Peterbilt, approximately $15,000.
June 24, 7:15 p.m., Fairview Loop and Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Deborah Good-Hesselbach, 58, Wasilla, driving westbound lost control negotiating a curve. Her vehicle left the roadway, went into the ditch and hit a reflector post. Hesselbach transported to Mat-Su Regional for injuries. Seatbelt worn. Vehicle, total loss. Charge: DUI; bail, $1,000.
June 24, 6:43 p.m., Lucille St. and Seldon Rd.: Laura Monday, 50, Palmer, was southbound and failed to stop for the stop sign, striking an eastbound vehicle operated by Robin Thompson, 48, Wasilla. Damage minimal. Seatbelts worn. Charge against Monday, DUI. Bail, $500.
June 26, 6:38 p.m., Inner Springer Loop and Glenn Hwy.: Gerald Roseman, 37, Wasilla, turning left failed to yield for a motorcycle driven by Paul Green, 40, Palmer. Green unable to stop and collided with the front of Roseman’s truck. Green wore a helmet, but transported to Mat-Su Regional with serious injuries. Roseman wore seatbelt, uninjured. Roseman cited for failure to yield to vehicle entering intersection after stop, and released. Damage, $2,000.
June 27, 12:11 p.m., Mile 126 Parks Hwy.: Thomas Hamann, 35, Illinois, was southbound when a moose ran out onto the roadway and Hamann struck the moose. The vehicle towed from the scene. Seatbelts worn; no injuries. The moose ran from the scene.

June 24, 1:40 a.m., Hollywood Rd.: Den M. Delaney, 18, Big Lake found to have NVOL (no valid operator license) for motorcycles during a traffic stop. Summonsed and released.
SEARCH AND RESCUE
June 23, 9:13 p.m., Peters Creek: Anthony Roberts, 51, and Randy Spohnholz, 55, both of Anchorage, were floating down the creek and could not avoid hitting boulders. Both were standing in the middle of the creek, unable to get out. The men used a satellite phone to call a friend, who notified troopers. Helo 1 responded, rescued the men and flew them to Willow. Treated by Houston EMS and released.

June 25, 1:58 a.m., S. Mack Dr., Wasilla: Henry Earl Levan Jr., 33, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member. Charge: DV assault IV. No bail.
June 27, 6:42 a.m., Church St.: During disturbance report, Blane A. Doyle, 21, Soldotna, found to have allegedly assaulted a female. Charge: assault IV. Bail, $3,000.
June 26, 1:05 p.m.: Scottie Ray Mack, 26, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a female and fled. Mack surrendered himself at approximately 6:30 p.m. Charge: DV assault IV. No bail.
June 28, 5:30 a.m., Mud Lake, Palmer: An 18-year-old Wasilla female was injured in a fight when she was shoved to the ground and landed in a small fire at approximately 2 a.m. The victim received minor injuries to her hands and back. June 27, 8:08 p.m., Montana Creek Campground: Wayne Anasogak, 40, Anchorage, got drunk and allegedly assaulted his wife. A nearby camper assisted the victim. Anasogak later came to the assister’s camp and attempted to start a fight with him and his fellow campers. Charges: DV (domestic violence) assault IV and disorderly conduct. No bail.

June 24, 3:57 p.m., Rising Star Child Care: A 24-year-old Wasilla female stated she parked her car in the lot at approximately 1:30 p.m. and later noticed the front bumper was ripped off. Evidence suggests a black vehicle struck the front end of her car then sped away. Investigation continues.

June 22, 9:06 p.m.. Knik-Goose Bay Rd. at Riley Ave.: David Donaldson, 18, Wasilla, was southbound in a line of cars stopped for the traffic light. When the light turned green, Donaldson rear-ended a vehicle driven by Kystal Maea, 22, Wasilla. No injuries. Donaldson cited for failing to exercise due care to avoid a collision.
June 22, 11:54 p.m., Mat-Su Regional E.R.: A 26-year-old female was a passenger in a motor vehicle accident on the Parks Hwy. near North Frontage Road by Fred Meyer. The vehicle that was struck by a dark colored truck. The extent of her injuries is unknown. Investigation continues.
June 24, 8:46 p.m., USA Cir. and Crusey St.: A water tanker driven by Roger Vanornum, 64, Eagle River, backed into a vehicle driven by Benito Naranjo, 53, Wasilla. No injuries.
June 25, 3:15 p.m., Wasilla-Fishhook and Spruce.: Oleksandr Tereshchenko, 32, Wasilla, failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a truck driven by Jeffrey Veteto, 54, Wasilla. A passenger in Tereshchenko’s vehicle transported to Mat-Su Regional for injuries.
June 25, 11:03 p.m., Fairview Loop and Old Mat Rd.: Michael Mach, 21, Wasilla, westbound when he passed a vehicle in a no-passing zone. Mach lost control and slid off the road. The vehicle rolled and came to rest upside down. No injuries. Vehicle, total loss. Mach cited for passing in a no-passing zone.
THEFT / SHOPLIFTING
June 23, 4:30 a.m., Wal-Mart: Dominic Yacovelli, 20, Wasilla, allegedly stole $70 worth of merchandise. Yacovelli also had an outstanding warrant. Yacovelli cited for theft III and remanded on the warrant to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.
June 24, 10 a.m., Performance Yamaha: The owner reported several gallons of gas had been stolen over the past month. Value, $1,350. Call police at 352-5401 or Mat-Su Crime Stoppers at 745-3333 with information. Investigation continues.
June 24, 12 p.m.: A 46-year-old Wasilla man reported he made a purchase from Home Depot on June 21 at 5:29 p.m. and inadvertently left an envelop containing a significant amount of cash at the U-Scan register he used. Video surveillance showed the next customer in line making a purchase using a debit card, taking the envelope and leaving the store. Home Depot is cooperating with police and providing copies of surveillance video and debit card information. Police hope to make an arrest for theft II in the near future.
June 24, 3:49 p.m.: A 37-year-old Wasilla female reported on June 6 an unknown person picked up her prescription from Wal-Mart Pharmacy. Investigation continues.
June 17, Sportsman’s Warehouse: Loss Prevention reported a theft from June 14. James Francois Jr., 28, Wasilla, allegedly stole a fishing reel. Value, $89.99. Charges of theft II forwarded to District Attorney.

June 27, Click It or Ticket Campaign: Michael Wood, 46, Wasilla, observed driving and known to be DWLR (driving while license revoked). Summonsed and released.
June 28: Charles S. Hintsala, 46, Palmer, stopped for an equipment violation. Arrested for DWLR and cited for stoplight requirements and failure to provide proof of insurance. Bail, $1,000.
June 29: Terry Yacovelli, 46, Wasilla, contacted as a REDDI. Summonsed for DWLR and released.
FILING FALSE POLICE REPORT
June 27: During a disturbance report, officers contacted several individuals, one later determined to be Deanna L. Amerson, 36, Palmer, who gave a false name due to active warrants. Officers returned to the residence, were denied access, and told Amerson ran out the back door. Charges of filing a false police report forwarded to District Attorney.

The second call on the 24th was for a major disturbance in an upstairs apartment. It sounded like a man was being tortured. Seems to me like something might be being covered up for some reason.
