ATV rider succumbs to injuries

MAT-SU -- A Willow man trapped under his four-wheeler when the vehicle rolled has died of his injuries.

According to an Alaska State Troopers press statement, troopers and medics responded at 9:25 a.m. to Mile 71 Parks Highway. Two passing motorists had found Jonathan E. Minturn, 38, of Willow, pinned under an ATV at about 9 a.m.

Minturn was treated on scene for head, neck and upper-torso trauma. He was taken to the Willow airport, put on a Life Guard helicopter and flown to Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage.

At 2:03 p.m., Monday, troopers report, Minturn succumbed to his injuries.
