THEFT

July 25, Goldendale Ave.: Both taillight housing units were stolen from a 2007 Chevrolet pickup. Evidence was collected; sent to crime lab for analysis.

July 25, Lucille St.: A 26-year old female of Washington reported her 1987 Mercury, Alaska plate FHM254, stolen.

July 25, 3:52 p.m.: A Wasilla male reported his Taurus PT 92 semi-automatic pistol was stolen during the last 30 days.

July 25, 6:30 p.m., Sears: A loss prevention agent reported he had a female juvenile of Wasilla in custody for stealing a pair of socks and a pair of shoes. Value, $61.99. Juvenile released to her mother; report filed with Youth Probation.

July 26, 4 p.m., Wal-Mart: A juvenile allegedly shoplifted $60.57 in merchandise. Charges of theft III forwarded to Juvenile Justice.

July 28, 10:30 a.m., Weld Air: Individuals gained access to the yard and took numerous aluminum items.  

July 28, 11 a.m., S. Century Cir.: An apartment at the complex was burglarized and several household items taken. 

July 28, 11:13 a.m., N. Ivy Cir.: A 40-year-old Wasilla male reported a wallet containing an undisclosed amount of cash and credit cards and sunglasses stolen from his locked vehicle.  

July 28, 4:25 p.m., Kalli Cir.: A Wasilla female reported unknown person(s) stole her daughter’s bicycle. Value, $100.

July 28, 6:29 p.m., Herning Ave. near Tommy Moe Dr.: A ladder was reported stolen from a business. Value, $100.  

July 28, 7:58 p.m., Sears: Tonya Sandidge, 25, Palmer, was observed allegedly taking approximately $240 worth of shoes and clothing and attempting to leave the store. Charge: theft II.

July 29, 1:18 p.m., Northstar Trucking: An employee reported unknown person(s) stole three sets of Lightforce lights during the weekend. 

LOST AND FOUND

July 25, 9:33 a.m.: A Wasilla woman turned in a cordless home telephone handset; placed into evidence for safekeeping.

July 28, 6:32 p.m.: A woman turned over property belonging to William I. Clark. She found an ATM card and various pieces of mail in a briefcase she purchased at Salvation Army Thrift Store. All items are held at the police department until claimed.

MVC

July 26, 12:02 p.m., Parks Hwy. at Crusey St.: Adriana Amaya, 20, Anchorage, was northbound when she failed to stop and rear-ended a vehicle driven by Haley Lisenbury, 21, Wasilla.

July 26, 3:01 p.m., Ewe First Yarn Co.: Jayne Wilcox, 67, Wasilla, backed into an unoccupied parked car. No injuries.

July 25, 9:55 p.m.: Dennis Pungowiyi, 35, Anchorage, stopped for defective brake lights. Summons: DWLS (driving while license suspended).

July 26, 5:10 a.m.: Stacy Prudence, Wasilla, stopped for defective tail lights. Summons: DWLS.

FAILURE TO WEAR

SAFETY BELT

July 26, 3:52 p.m., Wasilla-Fishhook Rd. and Wampam: Marianne Byrnes, 42, Wasilla, stopped for failing to wear safety belt. Summonsed.

WARRANT ARREST

July 26, 7:15 p.m.: Bubbie McGowan Jr., 32, Wasilla, recognized as a passenger in a vehicle and known to have an outstanding warrant. Arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pre-Trial.  

July 27, 10:01 p.m.: Cassie R. Schaefer, 23, Wasilla, stopped for equipment violation. Arrested on a warrant for FTA (failure to appear), original charge of issuing a bad check. Bail, $500.

July 28, 7:41 p.m.: James Gwaltney, 32, Wasilla, arrested on a warrant for FTA on felony charges. Bail, $10,000.

July 30, 3:41 a.m., Parks Hwy.: Donald Bumpus, 55, Houston, stopped for speeding. Records showed Bumpous had a warrant for FTA, original charge of no proof of insurance. Bail, $1,500.

DUI

July 27, 4 a.m.: Kimberly Gehner, 40, Wasilla, stopped for speeding. Charge: DUI (driving under the influence). Bail, $500.

DISTURBANCE

July 27, 3:42 p.m., I-HOP: Contact was made with Joseph Nichols, 23, Wasilla, Stephanie Nichols, 25, Wasilla, and Kevin Licht, 25, Palmer. Drugs were suspected to be involved; Wasilla Police drug detection K-9 was used to search the exterior of two vehicles used by Joseph Nichols and Kevin Licht. As a result, both vehicles were impounded for further investigation.

MCA

July 29, 3:05 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Meadow Lakes Loops: Christopher G. Meltvedt, 18, Wasilla stopped as a REDDI. Charges: DUI, MCA (minor consuming alcohol) and MOCA (minor operating after consuming alcohol). Bail, $500. A 15-year-old female passenger of  Wasilla summonsed for MCA and released to her parents.  

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

July 29, 6:30 a.m., Compass Dr.: Unknown person(s) damaged a vehicle between 12:01 and 5:50 a.m.

ASSAULT

July 29, 6:32 a.m.: Mary Walluck, 29, Fairbanks allegedly assaulted a family member, causing physical injuries. Walluck arrested for domestic viokence assault IV. No bail.

THEFT

July 29, 12:20 p.m., S. Krystal Pl., Big Lake: Between 11:40 a.m. and noon, electronic items and coins were taken. Value, $3,000. Access was gained through an unlocked door.  

July 29, 2:45 p.m., Arlie Rd., near Sunset Rd.: Between 8 a.m. and 2:45 p.m., the front door was kicked in and two flat screen TVs and miscellaneous items were taken. Value, $2,500.

WARRANT ARREST

July 29, 10:14 a.m., Shady Grove: Roy Munholland, 56, Wasilla, arrested on an outstanding warrant for FTA (failure to appear), original charge of DUI. Bail, $5,000.   

July 29, 7:56 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Lucas Rd.: John E. Fuller, 41, Wasilla, contacted as a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop. Records showed Fuller had a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWLR (driving while license revoked). Bail, $1,000.  

July 29, 9:45 p.m., Legacy Lane: Stephen King, 21, Wasilla, arrested on a warrant for violating a domestic violence restraining order. No bail.  

July 29, 11:02 p.m.: Edward Kehl, 42, Willow, arrested on FTA warrants for medical assistance fraud, contempt of court, and probation violation on an original charge of assault IV. Bail, $2,250.  

DWLCSR

July 29, 8:45 p.m., Mile 4 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Bryce Neet, 21, Wasilla, stopped for failure to stop at a stop sign. Summons: DWLR.

DUI

July 30, 2:55 a.m., Mile 5 Hollywood Rd.: Kimmeth Jack Irwin Jr., 37, Wasilla, contacted for parking in the roadway. Records showed Irwin was DWLR. Irwin also had three minors in the rear passenger seats. Bail, $5,000.
