A month in prison It has been a month since I turned myself in to U.S. marshals on June 30. My first two weeks were spent at the Anchorage Correctional Complex and the last two at the Seattle Federal Detention Center. From here it’s Oklahoma City, followed by Taft, Calif. I wish to let all of my friends know I’m doing well. Obviously, it’s not easy being incarcerated, especially after being denied a fair trial. But I’m staying strong and keeping my chin up. A clear conscience helps too. I’m looking forward to my appeal being heard and remain confident I will eventually prevail. In the meantime, I intend to stay busy with a lot of reading and writing (and prayer of course) as I anticipate a good outcome. I wish to thank all of you who have inquired on my behalf. Your support and friendship is making my situation a lot easier. Vic Kohring Seattle Federal Detention Complex |
