MVC

Aug. 25, Hermon Rd. and Parks Hwy.: Scott Lapiene, 46, Wasilla, had to drive arouind a semi driven by Rex Hutchison, 52, Fairbanks and struck the semi as as he was entering back into the lane.

WARRANT ARREST

Aug. 25, 12 p.m.: Kimberly Ennis, 27, turned herself in for a warrant out of Arizona for FTC (failure to comply) with conditions of probation. No bail. Charges of fugitive from justice forwarded to District Attorney.

THEFT / BURGLARY

Aug. 25, 3:57 p.m., Carrs/Safeway: A white male adult attempted to steal $362 in merchandise. When contacted by an employee outside the store, the suspect told the employee he did not do anything, left the shopping cart, and left the premises as a passenger in a vehicle.

Aug. 25, 4:43 p.m., Ravenswood Loop: A 46-year-old male reported someone broke into his house sometime after 7:30 a.m. Several items were taken.

Aug. 25, 5:59 p.m., Fred Meyer: Loss prevention reported they had 38-year-old Ronald Keller in custody for allegedly shoplifting $779 in merchandise.

Aug. 25, 6:03 p.m., Sears: Amanda Spangler, 18, Palmer, and a 16-year-old Wasilla female were taken into custody on charges of shoplifting. Spangler was cited for allegedly stealing $36 in merchandise. Charges referred to Juvenile Justice on the 16-year-old female for allegedly stealing $82 in merchandise.

Aug. 26, 4:30 p.m., Carrs/Safeway: A 14-year-old Wasilla female allegedly stole deli food valued at $29.64. The juvenile was released to her grandmother. Charges of theft IV forwarded to District Attorney.

Aug. 27, 6:30 p.m., Wal-Mart: Laura Babb, 21, Anchorage, allegedly attempted to steal merchandise valued at $1,293. Bail, $2,500; charge theft II.

DUI

Aug. 25, 11:50 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Andres Hunter, 37, Palmer, stopped as a REDDI. Charge: DUI. Bail, $2,500.

Aug. 27, 12:34 p.m.: A customer at Schuck’s Auto Parts on the Parks Highway reported a white male adult smelled strongly of alcohol and was driving a red Chevrolet sedan. Richard Logan was stopped on Herning Avenue. Charge: DUI. Bail, $5,000. 

MICS

Aug. 27, 1:27 a.m.: Kennet Sacro, 24, Anchorage, stopped for erratic driving and arrested for alleged misconduct involving a controlled substance IV. Bail, $2,500.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Aug. 23: Barbara Gilhousen, 52, Anchorage, contacted for lying in the road. Arrested for disorderly conduct; no bail. 

LOST AND FOUND

Aug. 23: A Palmer man reported finding a bicycle in his driveway. Stored at the police department.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Aug. 24, Valley Hotel: Kent Blaylock, 22, Palmer, allegedly broke a window on a vehicle and the front door to the hotel. Total damage, $1,400. Bail, $500.

TRESPASSING

Aug. 24, Alaska State Fair:  Todd Miller, 24, Anchorage, arrested for trespassing II. Bail, $250.

Aug. 23, 9:18 p.m., Colony School Dr.: Marriah L. Taylor, 20, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DWLR (driving while license revoked) and a $250 warrant for FTA (failure to appear). Total bail, $500.

Aug. 24, 12:44 a.m., Main St.: Susan Henry, 39, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLS.

Aug. 23, 9:54 p.m., Glenn Hwy. and Palmer-Fishhook Rd.: Teresa A. Szeremi, 46, Sutton, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLS.

Aug. 24, 1:10 a.m., Glenn Hwy. and Glacierview Rd.: A 17-year-old Palmer girl stopped for a moving violation. Summons: DWOL (driving without a operator license).

Aug. 24, 4:50 a.m., Bogard Rd. and Peck St.: John J. Colley, 26, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLS.

Aug. 24, 2:12 a.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Luke St.: Ryan Daniel Horn, 25, Chugiak, stopped for an equipment violation and failure to maintain proper lane of travel. Charge: DUI. Bail, $500.

Aug. 24, 12:53 a.m., Mile 35.5 Parks Hwy.: Jeremiah R. Hemphill, 24, Anchorage, stopped for erratic driving. Charge: DUI. Bail, $2,500.

Aug. 24, 5:03 a.m., Bailey St. and S. Colony Way.: James E. Webster, 31, Anchorage, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail, $1,500.

Aug. 24, 1:19 a.m., Crusey St. near Bogard Rd.: Bobby A. Sickler, 25, Chugiak, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DUI. Bail, $500.

BURGLARY

 Aug. 21, 11:17 a.m., Purington Pkwy.: A 58-year-old Anchorage male reported sometime within the previous three weeks, someone had burglarized his cabin. Various tools, a Cataraft watercraft, boat trailer, a Delta planer and a plastic 300 gallon water tank were stolen.
