PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

THEFT

Aug. 25. Palmer Skateboard Park: A city of Palmer employee reported the theft of a skateboard ramp.

Aug. 26, State Fair: A 26-year-old Wasilla woman reported her purse was stolen. Estimated value, $220.

Aug. 26, Fred Meyer: A 41-year-old Palmer woman reported her Dell laptop stolen. Value, $1,600.

Aug. 26, State Fair: Bryce L. Jones, 22, Wasilla, summonsed for theft IV after he was caught by security allegedly selling fair admission tickets and pocketing the money. 

Aug. 27: A 45-year-old Palmer man reported his brief case was stolen from his vehicle on Aug. 26.

Aug. 29, State Fair: Kao W. Saechao, 18, Leng Wiong, 20, and Phillip Phommabout, 19, all of Anchorage, arrested for theft II and criminal mischief III after they allegedly broke into a vehicle and and stole electronics and clothing. Bail, $7,500 each.

Aug. 29, State Fair: Jeremy David Bowerman, 19, Wasilla, summonsed for theft III after being observed allegedly pocketing cash for parking vehicles without providing receipt tickets.

Aug. 30, State Fair: Richard Weber, 19, Palmer, and Travis Waterbury, 25, Anchorage, summonsed for theft III after allegedly stealing over $50 in tickets from Golden Wheel Amusements.

Aug. 31, State Fair: A 15-year-old Palmer female allegedly stole $369 in merchandise from various vendors. Released to her mother; charges of theft III forwarded to Juvenile Intake.

ASSAULT

Aug. 25, State Fair: Myriah L. A. Thomas, 23, Anchorage, and David C. Thomas, 23, Anchorage, arrested on charges of assault IV after allegedly assaulting members of security. Bail, $500. 

Aug. 28: A 19-year-old Palmer male was arrested for domestic violence assault IV and MCA (minor consuming alcohol). No bail. 

Aug. 30, W. Fern Ave.: A 15-year-old Palmer male punched a 12-year-old male of Palmer. A charge of assault IV forwarded to Juvenile Justice.

Aug. 30: A 38-year-old Palmer woman arrested for domestic violence assault IV. No bail.

Aug. 31, State Fair: Jeremy Casey, 31, Palmer, was arrested for assault III and IV, criminal mischief III, tampering with evidence, criminal trespass II and MICS (misconduct involving a controlled substance) after allegedly breaking into a vehicle and assaulting the owner of the vehicle. Bail, $10,000. Also remanded for probation violation.

WARRANT ARREST

Aug. 26, State Fair: Timothy D. Russell, 23, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for FTA (failure to appear), original charge of driving in violation of license limitation. Bail, $100.

Aug. 27: Eric Carlson, 41, Sterling, arrested on a $5,000 warrant.

Aug. 30, State Fair: Ronald Priest, 54, Anchorage, arrested on warrants for failure to comply with ASAP (Alcohol Safety Action Program) and FTA, original charge of DWLR (driving while license revoked). Bail, $3,000.

Aug. 30:  Dylon Wolcott, 19, Willow arrested on a $1,000 warrant.

Aug. 31: Joanna Allen, 19, Wasilla, stopped for equipment violation and arrrested on a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWOL (driving without a license). Bail, $200.  

Aug. 31: Desiree Tait, 23, Palmer, arrested on a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWLS (driving while license suspended). Bail, $1,000.

Aug. 31: Jeremy Roy Derflinger, 22, Palmer, arrested on a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWLS. Bail, $1,000.

MVC

Aug. 26, Springer Loop at Glenn Hwy.: A 17-year-old Wasilla girl lost electrical power in her vehicle and rear-ended Matt N. Shotenski, 37, Wasilla. No injuries; seatbelts worn. Damage to both vehicles, $2,000. The teen’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS

Aug. 26, State Fair: Joseph E. McCullough, 43, Anchorage, arrested for criminal trespass II. Bail, $250. 

Aug. 28, State Fair: Jeffrey J. Sturgeon, 20, Wasilla, arrested for criminal trespass II. Bail, $500.

INSTRUCTION PERMIT

Aug. 26: Joshua M. Feathers, 18, Palmer, summonsed for allegedly driving in violation of instruction permit after stopped for expired registration.

Aug. 27: Justin T. Hoeldt, 31, Palmer, arrested after observed DWLR (revoked). Bail, $500.

Aug. 30: David T. Scott, stopped for equipment vioaltion. Charge: DWLR. Bail, $750.

Aug. 30: John Walls, 27, Anchorage, stopped for expired plate registration. Walls was allegedly DWLS and had a warrant for FTA, original charge of DWLS. Bail, $2,500.

Aug. 30: Sonya D. Baldwin, 37, Anchorage arrested on a warrant and for allegedly DWOL (driving without a license) after being stopped for an equipment violation. Bail, $1,500.

Aug. 30: Chase Cameron, 19, Anchorage, stopped for equipment violation. Summons: DWLS.

Aug. 30: Deborah Jane Bloom, 49, Willow, summonsed on charge of DWOL.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Aug. 28, State Fair, red RV parking lot: Brock McCourt, 26, Houston, arrested for alleged disorderly conduct. Bail, $500.

Aug. 28, State Fair, red RV parking lot: Wayne L. Olszak, 31, Wasilla, arrested for alleged disorderly conduct. Bail, $250. 

Aug. 29, State Fair: Steven Michael Humphreys, 29, Wasilla, arrested for alleged disorderly conduct and MICS VI. Bail, $1,000.

MCA

Aug. 30, N. Valley Way: Ryan L. Benedict, 18, Palmer, Caleb R. Shugak, 18 , Anchorage and a 17-year-old female of Anchorage summonsed on charges of MCA (minor consuming alcohol).

Aug. 30, State Fair: Security personnel alerted police concerning an extremely intoxicated female with two children. Robin Lynn Goynes, 20, Palmer, who was allegedly highly intoxicated and had been found in the parking lot with her 19-month-old and approximately 3-year-old daughters looking for her vehicle. She and her children were released to her mother. A charge of MCA and two charges of endangering the welfare of a child forwarded to District Attorney. A report of the incident has also been forwarded to the Office of Children’s Services.

Aug. 31, State Fair, red RV parking lot: Grant M. Knauf, 18, Anchorage and Jean W. Klingert, 18, Anchorage, summonsed for alleged MCA.

Aug. 31, State Fair: Houston Teal Robbins, 20, Anchorage, summonsed for alleged MCA. 

DUI

Aug. 31, Williwaw Dr., Cedar Hills Subdivision: Anthony James Neokok, 23, Point Lay, arrested on a charge of DUI after he drove through a home owner’s yard and ended up in a field. Bail, $1,000.

VANDALISM

Aug. 31, Koslosky Center: Unknown person(s) threw a chair through the plate glass window of a business. Damage, $1,000.

WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

HIT AND RUN

Aug. 29, 10:49 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Tracy Klein, 41, Oregon, stated a vehicle drifed into her lane of traffic and struck the front passenger side fender and bumper; witnesses provided information.

FORGERY

Aug. 29, 7:30 p.m., Alaska USA FCU, Fred Meyer: Robert Bates, 19, Wasilla arrested for alleged theft II and forgery III, regarding a forged check. Bail, $5,000.
