LOUISE ANN MARTIN Louise Ann Martin, 79, died Sept. 1, 2008 from cancer at Ruthie’s Assisted Living in Wasilla. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, at Abbott Loop Community Church, with Brian Green officiating. Martin’s cremated remains will be placed at Angelus Memorial Park. Martin was born March 2, 1929 in Garnet, Kan. She came to Alaska in 1956, and resided in Anchorage. She had modeled for Seventeen Magazine and Coca-Cola, was a buyer for Macy’s of San Francisco, and worked in sales for Nordstrom’s Fine Jewelry and at the Anchorage Hilton Hotel. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Anchorage Civic Ballet, and the Anchorage Hockey Association. She was Mrs. Hockey of the Anchorage Hockey Association, and a Beta Sigma Phi Sweetheart. She loved gardening, family, grandkids and watching sports. Surviving are her sons Brian Dale Green Jr. of Anchorage and Michael Lee Green of Wasilla; daughter Pamela Kay Ellis of Seattle; granddaughters Adrienne Renee Wilkerson, Megan Rhea Green and Sara Kay Green; grandsons Brian Daniel Green, Ian Guy Thomas, Michael Lucas Green and Nathan Kyle Thomas; three great-grandchildren; and sisters Frances Erickson and Sherry Swope. She was preceded in death by husbands Brian Dale Green Sr., and Sterling “Marty” Martin; brothers Harry and Lloyd Hardesty; and sister Esther Hardesty. |
