Sept. 18, 11:45 p.m., N. Seagull Dr. and N. 49th State St.: Colver J. Sonnentag, 32, of Anchorage failed to negotiate a “T” intersection, colliding with and destroying one telephone pole and one telephone utility box. Utility equipment damage, $25,000. Vehicle damage, $5,000. No injuries. Charge: DUI (driving under the influence). Bail, $1,500.

Sept. 19, 4:08 a.m., Mile 38 Parks Hwy.: A 16-year-old Palmer female fell asleep while driving and hit a guardrail. Both driver and passenger were restrained, no injuries. The driver was cited for operating in violation of a provisional license.

WARRANT ARREST

Sept. 18, 2:20 p.m.: Steven A. Meyer, 35, Big Lake, was contacted by the Judicial Services Warrant Section, Palmer, and U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, troopers and the trooper canine unit for a fugitive from justice warrant service on a warrant for FTA (failure to appear), original charge of criminal sale of marijuana III. No bail.

Sept. 17, 2:52 p.m., Mile 1.3 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Lindsay Windel, 20, Wasilla, was northbound when she rear ended a vehicle driven by Shamarie Coomler, 39, Wasilla, who was stopped to turn into Texaco’s parking lot. Coomler transported to Mat-Su Regional for minor injuries. Windel cited for negligent driving. Both vehicles totaled.

Sept. 16, 4:30 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Lucille St.: Hal Hall was westbound approaching the intersection, failed to see that the traffic signal had turned red ahead and that a truck operated by Justin Harrell had pulled onto the highway. Harrell had the right of way in the intersection when his truck was struck by Hall’s vehicle.

Sept. 16, 5:51 p.m., Parks Hwy. at Weber Dr.: Colton Laybourn, 26, Wasilla, was stopped behind Daniel Bourassa, 53, Big Lake. Laybourn observed traffic move in front of Bourassa, accelerated and rear-ended Bourassa’s vehicle. Bourassa transported to Mat-Su Regional for minor injuries. Minor damage to both vehicles.

Sept. 16, 6:48 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Yenlo St.: A female juvenile was turning when she was struck by a vehicle operated by Pamela Wheeler, 59, Wasilla. Wheeler’s vehicle totaled. No injuries.

Sept. 17, ShopRite Mall: Joshua Lindsley, 18, Wasilla, backed out of a parking space into a vehicle belonging to Lee Seagondollar, 67, Wasilla. No injuries; minor damage.

Sept. 17, 3:51 p.m., Seward Meridian Pkwy. and Fireweed Rd.: David Tavenner, 43, Wasilla, failed to stop for a red traffic light and was struck by a truck driven by David Skoglund, 34, Wasilla. Tavenner cited for failure to stop for a steady red traffic signal.
