Sarah Barracuda or Sarah Wallflower?

Where is Sarah?

I like Sarah Palin — she’s folksy, warm, and confident — and I think she represents the ultra-conservative constituency of her party, pretty well.

I think.

I don’t really know of course, because McCain has informed us that he will not “allow” Palin to answer any questions from the press, “until they agree to treat her with respect and deference.”

Seems our “Sarah Barracuda” from the convention, the one willing to lob derisive and disrespectful insults at Obama with perfect timing and poise, has suddenly become our little “Sarah Sensitive.” I suppose McCain is right though, because as we know, once elected, no one ever says anything disrespectful to the vice president, right? Just ask Vice President Dick Cheney.

But that is the point, isn’t it? Keep her picture in the news, but not her opinions, until after the election, when she can say absolutely anything, and we will have nothing to say at all.

I say the press should boycott McCain and Palin’s speeches and staged “photo ops” until Palin, our little wallflower, is willing to step out into the Big World with the rest of the grownups, and the candidates.

I mean, she made it so clear. It's jobs ya know, plus health care and ya gotta include jobs and reform, and of course lower spendin' and taxes. It's all there. Trade. Jobs. We're sick about it, just sick. ...Study hard baby, Thursday looms. Not sure if I which I will do more of, cry or laugh. "

" If Sarah Palin was on the job in her home state of Alaska, then why were there a plethora of stories mentioning the famous "Where's Sarah" buttons worn at the capitol. And honey, Alaska is a state, but not its own country - people from other states can discuss issues confronting Alaska - I know your governor has been hoping to be crowned Queen of a Free Alaska, but it isn't likely to happen. In the meantime, all of us intelligent voters plan to keep an eye on the doings of Sarah in Alaska. "

Not to blink an eye when asked by McCain to be his running mate, means that she doesn't give even her family much thought. Not the Values I want my childrens children to see.
Thanks, but No Thanks Sarah "

" To even think you know what goes on in Alaska or with Sarah Palin. The governor has an office in Anchorage, as well as the Governor's "mansion" in Juneau. She stays in the Juneau home when the legislature is in session and works out of the Anchorage office when it's not. Her Wasilla home is an hour's drive from her Anchorage office. The per diem she charged the state was for the extra costs incurred as governor. You're just another Outsider pretending they know Palin and Alaska, probably never even set foot in the state. "

" Because Palin only wants to look the part. She has no real boundaries, will say and do anything for the attention, even sacrifice her children for her own glory-- and then gets bored with the actual tedium of the job at hand. I know in Utah, our governor is in the capitol city everyday. I know I go to work everyday and don't think ignoring my duties at work, while charging the state a per diem is moral or reasonable. But, Palin makes up the rules as she goes along. "

" Can some tell me why Sarah spent such little time in the Governor's mansion and so much time at her house? Does she suffer from depression that keeps her away from work? I find this very odd because no other governor in the lower 48 has a work schedule anything close to her's. What was she doing at home all that time? Also, why does her husband spend so much time involved in her state business? This is also very unusual. We don't do things like this in the lower 48. "

The previous presidents who were within 2 years of McCains age dind't have a history of melanoma. Read about Melanoma. (High-risk: greater than 50% risk of recurrence. High-risk melanoma has a high probability of having already spread to local or distant sites at the time of treatment)
Fact is..McCain needs a VP running mate who can step in if he dies. PALIN IS NOT THE PERSON TO DO THAT!! Nobody is wishing him dead...it is a fact that he has been treated several times for Melanoma.
PALIN IS OUT OF HER ELEMENT AND SHOULD STEP DOWN. "

Excuse me, but how many Presidents have we had that assumed the office within 2 years of McCain's age? And some were extremely noteworthy during their time in office? Seems like a desperate grab by liberals to create this artificial sense of logic that we can almost count on McCain dying in office and Palin assuming the office... "

" Ben: I was a McCain supporter until he announced Sarah as his running mate with zero vetting and having met her only once - the reason we compare Palin to Obama is because she is McCain's biggest liability and with his age and health issues, it is not unlikely to see her as POTUS - which send chills down my spine -- only you and Palin don't seem to realize that.

Biden is going to have her for lunch -- Palin Burgers all around. "

" The constant comparison between Obama and Palin is interesting; who exactly is running for President? Better to have an unqualified suit (he served a grand total of 182 days in his job, folks..the rest was spent campaigning) in control of the country than an unqualified person as VP?! As far as Obama's "ideas"? None were original, and many were so far-fetched that they should have started out with "once upon a time!" "

She cannot handle foreign affairs, does not know the intracicies of the economy and BTW, while Sen. Obama had to win primaries to get the nomination she was a cynical pick to get the women's vote. Your state needs to rise up and vote opposite to what is expected and send a message that you are not sheep and follow the I VOTE FOR MY STATE REP ATTITUDE. Be on the winning side for once. "

You want a treat -- watch Palin's interview with Couric and then watch Obama's -- I have no respect for people who claim he is an empty suit or lacks vision or platforms and much respect for those who simply disagree with him. As for tearing Palin apart -- if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. "

Sarah Palin should have known her limitations and refused the offer. She is excedingly unqualified. She is making a fool of herself and by proxy....Alaskans and others who support her. She should have stayed where she was doing ok and not exposed herself and family to the scrutiny of the American publicand press. . She is responsible for that......not the rest of us!!! Put the blame where belongs. "

"Things are going to change!" OK. Great. How? (Besides the clouds parting, the sun illuminating us with lots of birds and rainbows are whatever). History is full people that could give a good speech and made for terrible leaders...but at least they were actually saying something! Obama can't even manage that! "

She asked smart and reasonable questions of Sarah and she got unintelligible confusing and run on sentence responses from Sarah. If she was doing a good job in Alaska...please ask her to come back home. She scares the bejesus out of me when I think that she could be one melanoma or heartbeat away from the presidency.
