Sarah’s got what we need in D.C.

I have been thinking about this election year and the choices we have for president and vice president. No matter what happens, we will have history in the making, but what happens with this historic moment is up to the people.

As I see it, when it comes to president we have two choices. We can vote for a veteran, a former POW and someone who is not ashamed of his country and who will salute the flag. This person would be John McCain. As a veteran myself, this is a very critical element.

We also have the choice as I see it … Osama … Obama ... what is the difference? They are both Muslims, and Muslims have been creating a lot of problems worldwide. He will not salute the flag, has no allegiance to our country and even in his book has stated that he is not a supporter of our country or anything we stand for.

Con men are eloquent speakers and can trick anyone into following their ways. Too many people are being swayed by the eloquent speech of this anti-American presidential candidate. He isn’t qualified to be president; he wasn’t even born in this country to American-born parents.

For vice president, we have a very incredible role model for young people, both boys and girls alike — Sarah Palin. Sarah might not have the experience in Washington, D.C., like [Joe] Biden does, but she is an average American.

She loves her country and loves this state. She will salute the flag, stand in honor of our veterans and can take on the good ol’ boys. She has proven this over and over again. Sarah isn’t afraid to call it as she sees it.

When it comes to Troopergate, as they call it, there isn’t one of us out there who would not have done what she tried to do to Wooten, if we had been in her shoes. She knows the troopers have personal issues that need to be cleaned out and resolved.

I have been a part of some of the same problems Molly faced with Wooten in my own household.  I know of several troopers I would try to have fired should I be placed in the same position as she was.  I would do what was necessary to protect my family and others from the abusive power of out-of-control troopers.  I say troopers plural, because there are probably at least a dozen of them that need to be fired, or harshly reprimanded.

Sarah stood by the desire to have a baby despite the fact that she knew it was going to have Down Syndrome. Too many people these days do not see children as a gift from God, and don’t treasure them the way they deserve to be treasured and treated.  If any of you have spent any time with Sarah or spoken with her children, you are missing out. She is an incredible mother, and her children have a lot of respect for her.

She is a wife and mom that will not run for office, like governor or vice president, without the support of her family. No one can effectively run for a political office without their spouse and children’s support. It takes the whole family’s efforts to be an effective and good leader.  Sarah has proven that she can lead, that she can listen, and that she is a real person and a true American. Her people- friendly attitude and calm demeanor reminds me of someone else that was loved by all, and that person was Princess Diana.

There have been other leaders throughout history who have not had a lot of experience to hold an office such as this. I don’t believe experience is what we should be looking at here. I, for one, am tired of members in Washington forgetting where they came from.  Too many were born with a silver spoon in their mouths.

Sarah was born in a family with high work ethics and values. She was born into an average middle class family. She is one of us, she is an average American. I want someone in the White House, and in Washington, D.C., who knows what it is like to be an average American, because I know they will do what is necessary to fight for us and our needs.

Sarah will do great as vice president. She has my full support, my endorsement and my vote.

I am proud to be a Sarah Chick!!
