FELONY DUI
Sept. 26, 10:42 p.m., Mile 4.5 Wasilla-Fishhook Rd.: Daniel Burke, 24, of Wasilla, was driving a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta that hit a guardrail. The passenger was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Burke’s charges: Felony DUI (driving under the influence), assault III, leaving the scene of an accident, DWLR (driving while license revoked). Bail, $10,000.

Sept. 25, 10:28 p.m., Mile 31.4 Glenn Hwy.: Heidi Orr, 31, of Palmer, was southbound in her 2000 Toyota Echo when she lost control, left the road and rolled three times coming to rest of the driver’s side. Orr was wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. The Toyota was totaled. Orr was ticketed for failing to exercise due care.
Sept. 26, 2:09 p.m. Old Glenn Hwy. and Smith Rd.: A Palmer 16-year-old was northbound on the highway in her black 2006 Chevrolet Equinox, failed to stop and rear-ended a gold 2000 Daewoo driven by another Palmer 16-year-old, who was stopped at a construction zone. The second teen was in turn pushed into the back of a white 2001 Cheverolet van driven by Kenneth Tyler, 50, of Palmer. Damage to the first vehicle was $10,000 and an estimated $3,000 for the second vehicle. Tyler’s vehicle damage was minor. The Equinox driver was ticketed for failing to exercise due care.
Sept. 26, 4:45 p.m. Bogard Rd. and Elsinore Ave.: Patricia Wilds, 35, of Houston, was driving her 1991 Cheverolet pickup too close behind Matt Schmidt, 39, of Wasilla, who was driving his 2008 Dodge pickup. Wilds rear-ended Schmidt. No one was hurt. Everyone was wearing seatbelts. Vehicle damage was $2,500. Wilds was ticketed for following too closely.
Sept. 27, 7:20 p.m., Glenn Hwy. and Parks Hwy.: Tanya Gall, 32, of Palmer, was driving her 2004 Cheverolet Tahoe when she hit the guardrail while speaking to her children. Everyone was wearing seatbelts. Medics treated Gail and her two children on scene for minor injuries. Vehicle damage was $2,000. The guardrail was not damaged. Gall was ticketed for not exercising due care and not providing a child safety device.
Sept. 27, 5:34 p.m. Old Glenn Hwy. and Clark Wolverine Rd.: Jean Palmer, 57, of Palmer, was southbound on the highway in her 1999 GMC Yukon. She made a left turn and hit the front end of a 2004 Honda Civic driven by Hope Rowland, 24, of Palmer, who was driving northbound on the highway. Both vehicles had $1,500 damage. No one was hurt. Everyone was wearing seatbelts. Palmer was ticketed for not yielding.
Sept. 27, 5:25 a.m. Mile 90 Glenn Hwy.: Gearald I. Anderson, 75, of Glennallen, was eastbound when he hit snow and slush on the road and lost control of his 2001 Chevrolet pickup, which rolled onto its side in the road. Anderson was wearing his seatbelt. He was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. His pickup had $3,000 damage. Anderson was ticketed for not having proof of insurance.

Sept. 25, 9 p.m.: Kole Bullman, 25, of Wasilla, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear (FTA) in court on a no proof of insurance charge. Bail, $250.
Sept. 27, 7 p.m., Knik River Public Use Area: Brandon Nikolas Lazar, 21, of Anchorage, was arrested on a warrant for FTA for a trial call on a charge of no insurance. Bail, $200.

Sept. 26, 8:41 p.m., Mile 47 Parks Hwy.: Todd Shobe, 47, of Whittier was stopped for erratic driving. Charges: DUI and DWLS (driving while license suspended). Bail, $5,000.
Sept. 28, 5:09 a.m., Blue Lupine Dr.: Teresa M. Capo, 49, of Anchorage was stopped for erratic driving after being spotted at Palmer-Wasilla Hwy and Seward Meridian Pkwy. Charges: DUI and eluding arrest. Bail, $1,000.

DEATH INVESTIGATION
Sept. 26, 3:04 p.m., Mile 53.5 Parks Hwy.: Robert C. Smith, 57, of Anchorage, was found deceased inside his motor home. No foul play is suspected.

Sept. 25, 9:20 p.m., Crusey St.: Harold E. Crabb, 30, contacted as passenger in a Dodge Shadow stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: MICS VI (misconduct involving a controlled substance VI, marijuana).
SHOPLIFTING/THEFT
Sept. 27, 11:52 a.m.: Robert O’Keefe, 65, of Big Lake, allegedly concealed $5.15 in merchandise without paying for it. He was summonsed to appear in court and barred from returning to Steve’s Food Boy.
MIW, MICS, ELUDING ARREST, DWLR
Sept. 28, 12:15 a.m., Mile 6 Talkeetna Spur Rd.: Kenny J. Blanco was spotted driving a Ford Escort with an equipment violation. He failed to yield until reaching the end of David Street, where he was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and two guns. Passenger Moirah M. Mcvey, 26, of Wasilla, also had methamphetamine, according to troopers. Charges: two charges of MIW II (misconduct involving weapons II), two charges of MICS IV (misconduct involving a controlled substance IV), eluding arrest II, DWLR (driving while license revoked. Bail for Blanco, $25,000. Bail for Mcvey, $5,000.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
Sept. 28, 9:43 a.m., Sitze Dr.: Randy Johnson, 44, of Wasilla, is accused of breaking the side window of his girlfriend’s vehicle during an argument. Troopers were unable to locate him.
WANTON WASTE, TAKING SUB-LEGAL MOOSE
Sept. 26, Anaheim Dr.: A bull moose was found killed. The moose had sub-legal antlers and no meat was salvaged. Troopers consider it a total waste.

MVC
Sept. 23, Glenn Hwy. and West Arctic Ave.: A 16-year-old Palmer girl hit a vehicle driven by Robert J. Oslund, 32, of Palmer. The teen was treated on scene for injuries to her face and arms. Both parties were wearing seatbelts.
WARRANT
Sept. 24: Jerusha L. Self, 25, of Palmer, was arrested for a warrant on charges of violating custodial duties. Bail, $1,000.
Sept. 24: Tobias D. Armento, 30, of Palmer, was arrested on two warrants for failure to appear in court and failing to comply with probation conditions on the original charges of DWLR and DUI, respectively. Bail, $1,000
Sept. 24: Keith Aumavae, 21, of Palmer, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear at arraignment on minor consuming alcohol charge. Bail, $250.
SHOPLIFTING/THEFT
Sept. 25: Nathan B. Howard, 18, of Palmer, allegedly shoplifted $17.28 in merchandise at Fred Meyer. Summons: theft IV.
Sept. 27: John C. Negra, 50, of Palmer, was charged with theft III after he allegedly failed to pay for a cab ride from Eagle River.
MICS
Sept. 25: Two students of Palmer Junior Middle School, aged 13 and 14, were found in possession of marijuana. Charges of MICS IV (misconduct involving a controlled substance) are being forwarded to Juvenile Justice.

Sept. 26: Aaron Eijiro Miyahira, 28, of Palmer, was stopped for not wearing his seatbelt. Summons: DWLS.
RECKLESS DRIVING
Sept. 26: Lisa M. Stafford, 19, of Palmer, was stopped after being spotted driving recklessly through the Palmer Skate Park. Summons: reckless driving.

Sept. 27: Peter Richard, 23, of Anchorage, was arrested after driving his vehicle into a tree. His passenger, Terry Butler, 22, of Anchorage, was injured in the crash. Charges: DUI, assault III, criminal mischief V. Bail, $7,500.
