Oct. 5, 10:22 a.m., Edgerton-Parks Rd. near Little Otter Dr., Palmer: A 2004 silver Chevy pickup operated by Holly E. Young, 22, Palmer, was headed east on Edgerton-Parks Road when it encountered ice on the Little Susitna River bridge deck. The truck spun out of control and skidded down an embankment, coming to rest on its roof. Young was wearing her seat belt and sustained minor scratches to her face. Damage: vehicle total loss.

Oct. 5, 7:30 a.m., Glenn Hwy. at Knik River Bridge, Wasilla: Jenny Registe, 26, Wasilla, was southbound when she lost control on the icy road and struck the bridge rail. She was wearing a seat belt and transporting to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center for pain associated with the impact of the seat belt.
Oct. 5, 8 a.m., Glenn Hwy. at Knik River Bridge, Wasilla: Wesley Rogers, 54, Anchorage, was northbound on the Glenn Highway when he lost control of his 2001 Dodge pickup pulling an ATV trailer. He left the roadway and struck and ambulance stopped for a previous collision, then struck a 1985 Dodge pickup driven by Sean Hickey, 20, Anchorage, who was also involved in the previous accident. The ambulance, worth about $200,000, was totaled and Hickey’s vehicle sustained about $2,000 damage. Rogers treated and released with minor injuries and cited for basic speed.
Oct. 5, 4:10 p.m., Mile 5.5 Hollywood Rd., Big Lake: Buffie Reamer, 25, Wasilla, driving a black 1998 Chevy Tahoe, lost control and collided with a black 2007 Dodge pickup driven by Joseph Denney, 38, Wasilla. Summons for Reamer: driving with a revoked license and failure to exercise due care to avoid a collision.

Oct. 5, 1:10 a.m., Glenn Hwy., Palmer: Wendel P. Lewis, 24, Palmer, allegedly assaulted a family member while coming home from Anchorage. He was arrested and remanded to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail.
Oct. 5, 10 a.m., Pt. MacKenzie General Store: Kevin A. Bennett, 20, Anchorage, arrested for domestic violence assault IV and taken to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail following an alleged verbal, then physical, altercation with his girlfriend.
ASSAULT/MISCONDUCT INVOLVING WEAPONS
Oct. 5, 6:40 a.m., Wasilla: Troopers responded to a disturbance in an apartment above the Meadow Lakes Center and found Terry A. Pershing, 27, Wasilla, had allegedly assaulted a roommate, was intoxicated and in possession of a firearm. Pershing was arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pretrial Facility without bail.

Oct. 6, 9:17 p.m., Williwaw Wy.: Gary Brown, 41, Wasilla, rolled his ATV. He was taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.
Oct. 7, 12:15 p.m., Mile 8.5 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Dustin Young, 19, Palmer, northbound in 1988 Lincoln Continental, slid on the ice and left the road. Passenger taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Oct. 7, 7:02 p.m., Mile 85.5 Glenn Hwy.: Bertha Shepard, 80, Overbrook, Kan., southbound in 2007 Dodge Ram pickup, lost control, hit a rock face, rolled 40 feet down an embankment. Shepherd was hospitalized at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center.

Oct. 7, 8:10 p.m., Elsinore Ave.: James Taylor, 33, Wasilla, jailed for allegedly assaulting a woman at a home on Elsinore. Charge: domestic violence assault. No bail set.
Oct. 7, 6:01 p.m., Lucky Shot Rd.: Gary George, 48, Willow, was drunk when he allegedly assaulted another resident at an assisted living home. Charge: domestic violence assault. No bail set.
Oct. 8, 12:59 p.m.: David L. Boland, 32, Wasilla, arrested for allegedly assaulting a family member whose injuries were later treated at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center. Charge: domestic violence assault. No bail set.
EXPECTED HOME DEATH
Oct. 7, 2:10 a.m.: Mary V. Hann, 85, Palmer, was found to have died of natural causes.
Oct. 7, 12:22 a.m.: Mary Moland, 80, Wasilla, was found to have died of natural causes.
WARRANT ARREST
Oct. 7, 6 p.m.: Vincent Stovall, 46, Eagle River, contacted at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility and re-arrested on Anchorage warrant for a petition to revoke probation on charges of trespassing, violating a domestic violence protective order and criminal mischief. Bail: $2,000.

Sept. 30, 6:53 p.m.: An employee of Rosa House, an at-risk youth facility, reported Jolene Sawyer, 18, threw a soda bottle at her, striking her in the face. A report will be sent to the District Attorney.

Sept. 30, 5:05 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy and Parks Hwy.: Justin Redington, 18, of Wasilla, was crossing Palmer-Wasilla Highway in a truck and was hit by Timothy Thomspon, 45, of Wasilla. A third vehicle driven by Kristi McDonnell, 43, of Anchorage, then also hit Redington. No injuries.
FOUND
Sept. 29, 10:55 a.m., Lake Lucille: Police took possession of a canoe found floating in the lake and placed it in safekeeping.
THEFT
Sept. 29, 12:42 p.m.: A 17-year-old girl allegedly shoplifted $148.89 worth of cosmetics. A theft charge is being forwarded to Juvenile Probation.
FOUND
Sept. 30, 8 a.m.: A Wasilla man turned in a silver vehicle hitch with mud flaps attached found at Knik-Goose Bay Road and Riley Avenue. Police are holding it for safekeeping.
DUI
Oct. 1, 9:15 a.m.: Linda Moudy, 47, Wasilla, arrested after allegedly driving into a parked car at Iditarod Elementary School. Charge: DUI. Bail: $1,000.
Oct. 4, 1:29 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Hallea Ln.: Teague Embrey, 24, California, stopped for erratic driving. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500.
Oct. 4, 2:14 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Foundry Dr.: Underage person arrested for DUI and jailed at the Mat-Su Youth Facility.
VANDALISM
Oct. 1, Mikey Cir.: Police received report that sometime between Sept. 26 and Oct. 1 the plywood covering a window on a cabin was pried off and the window broken.
Oct. 3, 9:10 a.m.: The owner of the bicycle shop on Nelson Road reported someone had damaged two window frames by hitting them with a large rock. No one got inside the shop and the windows are still functional.

Oct. 2, 4:03 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy: Jonathan Erickson allegedly ran the red light at the entrance to Fred Meyer and hit a truck driven by Allen Marcott. Erickson was cited for running the light.
Oct. 6, 7:40 a.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. and Heritage Farm Rd.: Kris Hovila, 34, Wasilla, was rear-ended by Nina Vignola, 38, Wasilla. Vignola cited for not exercising due care.
Oct. 3, 12:56 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Parks Hwy.: Karen Roman, 42, rear-ended a vehicle being driven by Linda Hoffman, 46, Wasilla. Roman was ticketed for not exercising due care.
Oct. 5, 8:53 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Seward-Meridian Pkwy.: Kenneth Wise, 44, Eagle River, hit a patch of ice, went into the median and flipped his vehicle, which came to rest on its roof.
Oct. 7, 11:05 a.m., Lucille St. and Spruce Ave.: Nina Novakovshiy, 48, Wasilla, was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Jeffery Whaley, 37, Wasilla, who was unable to stop. Whaley was cited for not exercising due care.
