Oct. 8, 7:29 p.m., Trunk Rd. near Turn Rd.: Kory Carlyle, 22, Palmer, southbound on 2001 Suzuki motorcycle, lost control on loose dirt. Carlyle was hospitalized with a broken leg and cited for NVOL.

Oct. 8, 5:09 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. at Meridian Lp.: A 17-year-old Palmer boy westbound in 1996 Ford sedan was rear-ended by 16-year-old Palmer girl driving 2004 Buick sedan. No injuries. Girl cited for not exercising due care.

Oct. 9, 5:11 p.m., Lucile St. and Strathclyde Wy.: Theresa M. Seaman, 44, Wasilla, lost control of her black 2004 Toyota 4Runner and hit a utility pole. Seaman was treated for minor injuries. Charge: DUI; bail: $5,000.

Oct. 11, 3:18 a.m., Mile 4.5 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Joshua J. Gillow, 29, Wasilla, was southbound when he lost control, overcorrected and rolled, coming to rest in the road. Charge: DUI.

Oct. 12, 12:10 a.m., Beaver Lake Rd. near South Lodge Dr.: A 1991 Jeep Cherokee hit a utility pole, causing $5,000 damage. The driver was nowhere to be found.

Oct. 9, 1:10 a.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Glenn Hwy.: Michael P. Olstad, 19, Palmer, arrested on $10,000 warrant for theft and criminal mischief charges.

Oct. 9, 9:24 a.m., Palmer probation office: Rashad D. Hinson, 19, Palmer, arrested on warrant for failure to comply with probation on harassment charge. Bail: $1,500.

Oct. 9, 8:30 p.m.: Tanya Mahoy, 22, Wasilla, arrested on $1,000 warrant for failure to appear in court on DUI charge.

Oct. 9, 10:30 p.m.: Alicia Storie, 22, Wasilla, arrested at home on warrant for failure to serve jail time on DUI charge. No bail. 

Oct. 9, 11:37 p.m., Seward-Meridian Pkwy. near Cottonwood Wy.: Ryan Jones, 19, Wasilla, arrested on $200 warrant for failure to appear in court on underage drinking charge.

Oct. 9: Robert Crosby Jr., 61, Kenai, stopped for a moving violation while driving; arrested on Anchorage shoplifting warrant. Bail: $500.

Oct. 11, 12:16 a.m., Jacksnipe Rd. near Seldon Rd.: Henry Sydnam, a passenger in a vehicle stopped for an equipment violation, arrested on warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge. Bail: $200.

Oct. 11, 12;10 a.m., Knik Bar: Bruce Marshall, 39, Wasilla, arrested by troopers investigating a disturbance. Bail: $2,500.

Oct. 11, Knik River Public Use Area: Ryan Thompson Sisti, Anchorage, arrested on misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear in court. Bail: $500.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Oct. 8, 2 p.m.: Alonzo I. Gage Jr., 84, Wasilla, was found to have died of natural causes in his Wasilla home.

Oct. 9, 4:27 p.m. N. Hassen Bay Dr.: Eino Kuoppala, 91, Palmer, was found to have died at home of natural causes.

Oct. 9, 8:09 p.m., W. Birch Rd.: Nan Louise Eder, 88, Houston, was found to have died at home of natural causes.

Oct. 11, 1:32 p.m., Hemmer Rd.: Melvin James, 85, Palmer, was found to have died of natural causes at his assisted-living home.

Oct. 11, 3:19 p.m., Snowgoose Dr.: Thomas Wayne Keene, 71, Palmer, was found to have died unexpectedly at home of natural causes.

SHOPLIFTING/THEFT

Oct. 9, 3 p.m.: Rebecca J. Pollard, 52, Palmer, summonsed for allegedly shoplifting $3.49 in merchandise at Steve’s Food Boy in Big Lake.

Oct. 9, 3:22 p.m., W. Shady Grove Ln.: Sometime between 11:30 p.m. Oct. 8 and 8 a.m. Oct. 9, someone broke into a state vehicle and stole $2,000 worth of items.

Oct. 10, 1:55 a.m., Parks Hwy. at Cheri Lake Rd.: Shawn Carlson, 35, Willow, stopped for a moving violation while driving a silver 2001 Saturn. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Oct. 9, 11:30 p.m., Mile 1 Wasilla-Fishhook Rd.: Christopher D. Faulk, 30, Wasilla, stopped for erratic driving with a 6-year-old in the car. Charges: DUI, DWLR, child endangerment. Bail: $3,500.

Oct. 11, 12;06 a.m., Mile 1 Horizon Dr.: Lance D. Callender, 48, Houston, stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, DWLS.

Oct. 11, 1:30 a.m., Big Lake Rd. and Beaver Lake Rd.: Demarie Leasure, 53, Big Lake. Charge: DUI.

Oct 11, 10:26 p.m., Mile 14 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Kimberly C. Penix, 42, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Charges: DUI, DWLR.

Oct. 12, 1:39 a.m., Parks Hwy.: Christopher D. Gedicks, 24, stopped for a moving violation near Spenard Builders Supply. Charge: DUI.

Oct. 12, 12:04 a.m., Mile 5 S. Big Lake Rd.: Richard W. Mayer, 43, Big Lake, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: felony DUI, DWLR. Bail: $5,000. 

Oct. 12, 12:33 a.m., Mile 10 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Andrew C. Perrin, 20, Anchorage, stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, underage drinking, minor driving after drinking, marijuana possession. Bail: $500.

Oct. 12, 2:44 a.m., Mile 4 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Thairon C. Hawk, 25, Anchorage, stopped for speeding in a 2000 Ford van. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

HUNTING VIOLATION

Oct. 4, 1:35 p.m.: Paul J. Myerchin, 36, Anchorage, cited for hunting waterfowl without a federal duck stamp.

ASSAULT

Oct. 10, 5:23 p.m., Mile 49 Parks Hwy.: Charles Scott, 58, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a woman. Charge: domestic violence assault IV.
