EDWARD LANGLOIS

Edward A. Langlois, 56, died Aug. 16, 2008 in Washington.

Born March 15, 1952, “Ed” was born to Edward and Betty Langlois in Malta, Mont. The family moved to Kenai in 1959, then moved to Homer in 1964. In 1969, they moved on to Anchorage where he met his wife, Deborah R. Langlois, on April 11, 1981. They renewed their vows on Aug. 9.

The couple resided in Anchorage until 1986 when they moved to Wasilla.

His family wrote, “Ed was a family man who enjoyed playing on his equipment and playing in the yard. Now he will sing in the sunshine and laugh in the rain. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Ride in peace!”

Langlois is survived by his wife, Deborah, of Wasilla; sons Edward A. Langlois III and partner Erin Bardino of Washington, Shane McCourt and Brock McCourt; daughters Nicole McCourt, Ashley Langlois-Clark and Joseph Clark of Wasilla; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Joseph and Lori Marquis of Wasilla; granddaughters Erial of Washington and Haven, Shayla, Hailee and Alyessa of Wasilla.

He is also survived by his siblings Jenn and Connie Lambert of Fries, Va., Bonnie Vigil of Las Vegas, Micheal Jeffers of Anchorage and Marsha Lochner; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Doug, and brothers Doug, Frank and Butch Gleason.
