Patricia Crouch Wasilla resident Patricia Ann Crouch, 69, died Oct. 16, 2008 at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. Born Dec. 12, 1938 in Burbank, Calif., Crouch moved to Alaska in 1988. Prior to that, she worked at May Co. in California. A member of West Valley Family church of the Nazarene, Crouch enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading her bible and spending time with family and friends. She was married to Donald Eugene Crouch on July 17, 1970 in Burbank and enjoyed 16 years of marriage until his death. During her years in California, Crouch enjoyed spending time with her large extended family and being involved in the Ventura Church of the Nazarene. She also enjoyed her dogs, visiting her sister, Sharon, and family in Alaska. After the death of her husband, Crouch moved to Wasilla in 1988 to be near her sister. While living in Alaska she was a member of the Wasilla Church of the Nazarene and a charter member of the West Valley Family Church of the Nazarene. Following numerous illnesses and injuries, Crouch became a resident of Heidi’s Place Assisted Living in Wasilla, where she was a well-loved family member. She enjoyed attending Respect Your Elders and she was an active participant in everything the residents did. Crouch is survived by her sisters, Sharon Johnson of Alaska and Robin Treat, Marla Lindsey and April Kim, all of California; and brothers David Billings and Norman Billings of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Crouch; mother V. Franceline Edwards; father LaVerne Billings; and step-mother Martha Billings. Services were held Oct. 19, 2008 at West Valley Family Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Paul Trissel officiating. A graveside service will be held in December 2008 in California.
