They called him the same names we heard our governor use in her fight for the White House. Because the school district denied discussion of the political races in and out of the classrooms, evaluation of the debates or explanation of the antics of the pundits, these children were denied a wonderful education in the democratic process.
What a historic time and what a missed opportunity for educating the students on the democratic process and our elections. I was sad to see the Republican Party resort to (using) such horrific terms for the other candidates and now I am concerned with the affect it has had on the local school children.
