Hartley Dr.: Troopers notified of an expected home death pronounced Robert. D. Hartley, 85, Palmer, deceased.
MINOR POSESSING ALCOHOL Nov. 3, 12:10 p.m., Colony Middle School: 13-year-old student summonsed to appear in court for minor possessing alcohol after troopers responded to a report she brought booze to school in a water bottle.
WARRANT Nov. 3, 3:24 p.m., Mulchatna Rd.: Nancy Murphy arrested at home on warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge. Bail: $500. Nov. 5, 2 p.m., E. Pike Ave.: Fred J. Roehl, 33, Wasilla, arrested at home on warrant for failure to appear for alcohol screening and a probation status hearing on a DUI charge. Bail: $100. THEFT Nov. 3, 6:55 p.m., Hyer Rd.: Troopers responded to report that thieves entered a home through a side garage door and stole $2,000 worth of musical instruments. Nov. 5, 3 a.m., Mile 11.5 Old Glenn Highway: Troopers responding to the Butte Store/Café, found that thieves broke out a window and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Damage to the store: $300. WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT ASSAULT Nov. 3, 1:28 p.m.: A 27-year-old man came to headquarters to report he’d been punched and scratched by his live-in girlfriend, Crystalen Breeden, 26, who was later arrested. Domestic violence assault IV charges have been sent to the district attorney. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF Nov. 4, 9 a.m., Mystery Ave.: Police responded to a call at the Bumpus ball fields where sometime in the previous 24 hours someone drove through a 3-foot-tall chain link fence, damaging 24 feet of the fence. Damage: $400. MVC: Nov. 4, 10:25 a.m., Carrs parking lot: Tina Negus, 44, Wasilla, was backing out of a spot when she hit a vehicle driven by David Brumbaugh, 42, Wasilla. Nov. 4, 12:46 p.m., Swanson Ave. and Lucille St.: Hawley Crawford, 29, Wasilla, allegedly failed to yield driving a 2008 Chevrolet Equinox and hit a 1996 Mitsubishi Gallant driven by Jesse Ellison, 20, Wasilla. Damage was minor. No injuries. Charges of NVOL will be sent to the district attorney against her. She was also cited for not yielding. Nov. 6, 2:49 p.m., Bogard Rd. near Tait Dr.: Donna Buckwalter, 42, Wasilla, northbound when she crossed the centerline in her 2000 Ford Taurus, hitting a 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Darroll Hargraves, 67, Wasilla. Both drivers were taken to Mat-Su Regional Medical Center with major injuries. Both vehicles were totaled. Nov. 6, 3:20 p.m., E. Equestrian St. and Kentucky Derby Dr.: Deena Maw, 37, Palmer, stopped in the northbound lane in her 2003 Subaru, was rear-ended by a 2001 Chevrolet pickup after the driver, Bruce Hesselbach, 61, Wasilla, got distracted. Maw had minor injuries but declined medical treatment. Damage to her vehicle: $5,000. Nov. 6, 9:06 a.m., Main St. and Nelson Ave.: Albert Went, 88, Wasilla, allegedly failed to yield making a left turn and hit a vehicle driven by Richard Howes, 51, Wasilla. WARRANTS Nov. 6, 4:10 a.m., Waldal Dr.: Adam J. Avakumoff, 26, Wasilla, arrested at a disturbance call on warrant for failure to appear in court on assault charge. Bail: $500. Nov. 6, 7 p.m., Wasilla: Keith Pratt, 48, Wasilla, arrested on $2,500 warrant with the original charges of DUI and failing to immediately report an accident. Nov. 6, 10:17 p.m.: Dae Poteet, 18, stopped for an equipment violation, arrested on $250 warrant for failure to appear in court on theft charges. New charge: DWLR. Bail: $1,000. Nov. 6, 10:59 p.m., Lucille St.: Pat Moore, 28, Wasilla, contacted by officers called to check on his welfare, arrested on warrant for theft II, theft III and forgery II. Bail: $1,000. DEATH INVESTIGATION Nov. 6, 8:34 a.m., E. Porcupine Trail: Nancy Reese, 71, Wasilla, was found to have died of natural causes.
DRUG MISCONDUCT Nov. 6, 9:59 p.m., Parks Hwy. and N. Frontage Rd.: Justin L. Britt, 30, Palmer, stopped for erratic driving, was allegedly found to have marijuana paraphernalia. Summons: Drug misconduct VI. DWLR Nov. 6, 1:39 a.m., Robert J. Sweeney, 42, Wasilla, stopped for a lane usage violation. Summons: DWLR. THEFT Nov. 6, 6:02 p.m., Lake view Ave.: A 34-year-old reported her home was burglarized while she was at work and a laptop, flat-screen TV and medications were stolen. DUI Nov. 6, 10:50 p.m., Mile 13 Talkeetna Spur Rd.: Frieda Becker, 59, Talkeetna, found passed out in the driver’s seat of a GMC truck. Charges: DUI alcohol and prescription medications, violating conditions of release. Bail: $750. Nov. 7, 6:55 a.m., E. Grand Ave.: Jerime L. Reid, 35, Sutton, found blocking a driveway with his white 2001 Ford pickup and refusing to leave. Charges: DUI, refusing a breath test. Bail: $2,500. Nov. 6, 2:47, Check St. and Riley Ave.: Ronald McKinney, 47, Wasilla, stopped after a complaint from the public. Charges: Felony DUI, DWLS. Bail: $5,000. |
