Palin showed grace under fire

Published on Tuesday, November 11, 2008 2:02 AM AKST

This is to our wonderful governor in the face of the most vicious political attacks we’ve ever witnessed in a presidential election.

You were the definition of grace under fire. You kept your composure and your dignity. We are so very proud of you Sarah, as our VP candidate, our governor and as a decent and gracious human being. We know you will continue to do God’s work to the best of your ability and strength.

The media attempted to create as much negative backlash against you as it could, often in horrifying, mean-spirited and demeaning ways. You kept your head high throughout and were (and are) an inspiration to many Americans. Your accomplishments as governor, advocate for special-needs children, pro-life advocate and mother are recognized in your home state.

We also are so very proud of our fellow freedom-loving Alaskans who only gave Senator Obama 36 percent of our vote. President-elect Obama believes in bigger government through more control of its citizens. This has been tried unsuccessfully in totalitarian regimes throughout the world — Russia, China, Cuba and Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela.

Obama’s ideology most resembles Marxism. With an upcoming obama-Pelosi-Reid majority, we fear and pray for this nation. The fact that gun sales are rising dramatically, both here and in the Lower 48 since the election, shows we are not alone in our concern.

I think this may eventually backfire, but in the mean time, she is still gaining popularityl in the face of all these mean spirited personal attacks. "

Who cares about clothes, on Obama's or Palin's side! But why not honor a simple request by the public to see the BC. Not going over well with many non-Obama voters. The Obama voters don't see to care if he is a usurper or not. That's fine, but our right to see proof of natural born citizenship should not be denied. It's our constitutional right. "

So, you mean Obama will use the military to take over government and scrap the constitution? Then he'll sack the court system and become a tyrant in charge of one party - the people's party? Then he'll eliminate private property?

WOW... See, if I had only read your insightful post before election day, I wouldn't have voted for him!!

Yous Republicans sher is smarter than peoples like us... "

Mccain/palin was history before the polls closed in alaska. at 8pm mst the campaign was over
when they showed on tv that obama had twice as many electoral votes. "

" There is nothing in the Obama tax plan that is Marxist. He is merely asking the tax rate to be increased from 35 to 39% which is right where it would have been in the Clinton admin. Folks made plenty of money then. $225,000 still gets a $2789.00 tax cut. It is only those who make greater than $600,000 that get nailed. Then again in times of global meltdown if someone is blessed to make that much, a tax cut could enable them to actually remain rich. We could afford their products! "

Perhaps they should use their time to research authoritative and credible sources and read up on the background of their beloved Obama and his associations, When Pres. Bush was elected, I heard so many libs complain rhat he was 'in bed with the Bin Ladens" yet it is o.k. for Obama to be associating w/ unrepentant terrorists and radicals. "

Nobodys gonna take your guns. This

" Unfortunately Alaska the rest of America did not know Sarah Palin over time like you did. All we had was 8 weeks to evaluate whether she would be a good candidate to represent all Americans. Because she was new to the national spotlight, it was reasonable to evaluate where she stood on substantive issues. Because of some questionable remarks that she made, voters paused and considered whether she was ready on day one to take should it be required.

Reasonable people can agree to disagree. We will continue to watch her future. "

If you disagree you are called non-employed, non-tax payer, non-resident, hateful, or lacking intelligence... pot calling the kettle, black, it seems?
Do you ever think that maybe the Palin followers are the one's that are out of touch? She did lose in a landslide. Other than right-wing fundy Christians and local republican yokels, she really didn't have much support. Emotion and pride is all you have, try thinking for a change. "
