Palin is a beacon

Published on Monday, December 1, 2008 8:31 PM AKST

A beacon is flickering. President-elect Obama and Speaker of the House Pelosi have announced the first order of business for the Democrat-controlled White House and Congress is to fund health care for all children.

On the surface, this sounds OK, except both boast they are late-term abortion (supporters) who want a seamless, socialist society.

Not good.

In two years, if the United States is still the United States and private freedom voting is allowed, that rhetoric can be nullified.

There is a beacon of greatness flickering, and that is Gov. Sarah Palin. The heightened awareness of special needs children that Governor Palin has spearheaded is a gift from God. In time, Governor Palin’s greatness will be our finest light.

Alaska’s untapped natural resources are multifaceted. A Christmas present to the world.

no excuses. the palin's come across as greedy and opportunistic. not a good look at any time--especially during an economic downturn.

that they remain quiet as to why they didn't wear their own clothes...makes them all the more suitable for serious, ongoing criticism. "

there is nothing out there--nothing--where she explains that! only that her smelly, used clothes are going to charity. big deal had she worn her own clothes in the first place donors could have seen $150000-200000 to something important--like, you know--THE CAMPAIGN SO THEY COULD WIN AGAINST OBAMA!

did she also explain why usband/kids/ boyfriend couldn't WEAR THEIR OWN CLOTHES? or why she bought an extra pair of glasses? lingerie from Victorias Secret? toys? all documented by RNC. "

Just wait, he's not in office yet, but we'll have MANY to keep you informed on. Just keep your eyes open. (the phrase "government will require" was revised on the www.change.gov website and changed to "government will ask", but the term "require" was on there long enough to be noticed by people paying attention. This type of service is very common in socialist countries. I'll have more examples, don't worry "

Look at what happened with the CBS interview and with ABC. Remember how McCain came along after that with any interviews on a national level?

Palin can't carry an hour. She's not bright enough or savvy enough. (I don't think Oprah would mistreat her--that's not her way.)

Palin lacks confidence and skill--I'm glad she's finally realizing it. "

" Did Ruthie really write: "in two years if the freedom to vote is still allowed"? Un-be-lieve-able. The Republicans do a terrific job of scaring and dummying-down its supporters rather than informing them. Ruthie sounds like someone who attended Palin rallies.

During the campaign, both George Will and Davis Brooks (highly acclaimed conservative columnists) were critical of their own party for appealing to/and misleading the most ignorant and uneducated in our society. They felt the party's anti-intellectual theme (Joe Six Pack approach) was pathetic. This senile-citizen proves the feeble message has appeal. "

They fear the possibility of this country being entrusted to a woman who is simple and clearly not qualified at the national/international level. I'm also scared of the idea of my lovely neighbor trying to run the country.

Bush taught me a lesson: get the brightest people, not the "nicest" or ones "you'd like to call your friend," to handle the most difficult job on earth.

For the benefit of the country, wake up! "

And these inane Christian references.. as if one side is Christian and the other isn't. Puleeeze! Christ looks more favorably on someone addressing the health of our youth than someone who refused to quell the hatred and bigotry at Palin rallies. "

Ms. Kelly should be less afraid of names than taking steps to help the young. I'm sure Ms. Kelly is doing OK financially, as am I, but that doesn't make me selfish enough to trash the concept of health care for all children simply because it sounds socialist.

The next time conservative Ms. Kelly tosses out Christian references during political conversations, she should realize how hypocritical she is. "

    Really?

Rebecca--tell us where it's written, where Palin explains why she didn't wear her own clothes, bought clothing for her daughter's boyfriend; took donor money in the first place to buy clothes--then lied about it?

Then--please tell us about the filing/contents on her tax returns.

That'll do for a start, Rebecca; there are plenty more questions. But this'll keep you busy.

I doubt that we'll be hearing anymore from you Rebecca. Ta-ta! "

    You love her huh?

What makes you unable to see all the shortcomings in this person?

Fraud is Sarah. Fraudulent per diem expense reports. Fraudulent expense reports charging personal family travel expenses to her state. Fraudulent tax returns on at least 4-5 counts. And now, a late filing of freebees, again not appearing on her federal tax returns. That is downright criminal.

But then you must be blind, dumb, and deaf, along with all her supporters. "

They bring up old issues that have already been addressed and answered. They pick her apart, but give their own candidate a pass. We love her in our state, and wish she was our govenor. There is only one answer for so much hatred against one human being on this planet, and that is fear. Good I say let them fear her. "

Yes, Democrats do believe that if both the mother and child are at risk of imminent death, that maybe, just maybe drastic measures should be available for discussion with the doctor and patient. However, how does this relate to health care? If you are pro-life, how can you be against the best health care possible available to all children anytime? If you are even a remotely decent human, how can you be against treating our children’s health like royalty? And where does Palin even fit in? "
