Alaska’s recent struggles continued Saturday with a 3-0 loss to the Wenatchee Wild in Wenatchee, Wash. The shutout marked the Avs’ sixth loss in seven tries, and Alaska has also dropped three straight against the Wild, a first-year franchise in the North American Hockey League.
Duncan McKellar, Junior Cadiz and Evan Mosey scored, helping the Wild knock Alaska to 9-7-1 overall. The win also boosted Wenatchee to 9-9-1 and pushed the Wild into a second-place tie with the Avalanche.

On Friday, Michael Voran scored a power-play goal in overtime to give the Wild a 5-4 win over Alaska.
