It seems that everyone out there is reacting as though something was wrong with Sarah for not having eyes in the back of her head. In fact, there was something wrong with the producer and the camera operator.
I am an amateur photographer, and I know that your picture is only as good as your background. It’s like hunting — you always need to be aware of what’s behind your target. This is Photography 101, and even I could have made Sarah look better than this.

It did not work on me. I know Sarah, and I also know how it works on the “safe” side of the camera. The videographer and the producer should not be so safe. KTUU should fire someone, or apologize, or both.

None. Right? Just paranoid fanatasies that Obama is guilty, guilty, guilty...
Slaughtering turkeys may be an habitual and somewhat natural "process"--but then, going to the bathroom is also habitual and a natural process.
Just as people don't want to see Palin using the toilet, they also don't care to see her standing (oh-so-stupidly) before a turkey that's being slaughtered.
Some things are better off happening behind closed doors. Ya know? "

Apparently, they not only don't have any clothes, they don't have any luggage either (which would explain Palin's narrow-mindedness and lack of a worldview). "

Seems that your values are as suspect as dear Sarah's
So, another question for you to ponder and answer. Her younger daughter when asked stated she had missed a lot of school. Simply why weren't the childen in Alaska in school? Then they would have had their own clothes, and Todd could have been home with them. Then the RNC not need to purchase silk boxers either. Family or career? She chose career
So please enlighten me. "

We have special needs children in our family and I can tell you, exploiting their image before an international audience isn't on our list of positive behaviors.
There are very few instances in which a baby should be out late at night--and furthering mum's career isn't one of them.
That poor, helpess little baby has been mis-named: she should've named him "Trick".
Palin's dirty tricks have not gone unnoticed and she will always be remembered for that. "

While we're on the subject of kids/state-welfare-for-oil-socialism-charity-begins-from-home-checks...
There's a growing number good parents questioning why a woman in her 40s who wants to manage big things, can't seem to manage themselves/households yet doesn't seem to understand how birth control works. "Oops" babies are a little hard to comprehend, after one's 20s. Baby-loving, smart women know the risks of birth defects when they reach a certain age.
And, it's very rare to see good mothers drag babies out, after-hours. "

Why are you insulting Teflon.
Teflon lasts longer, works better, and never lies, cheats, or blames others.
Wish the IRS would thoroughly audit her past 7 years of tax returns. Then lets see her try to wiggle. Her penalties and interest will require to have another 10 kids for the oil checks.
Bet she blames the drop i oil revenue on the media. "

she takes responsibility for nothing. not her tax returns and late filings, her wardrobe purchases, what comes out of her mouth and head, nothing...
she is always blaming someone for doing something to her--people are always out to get her, right?
how in all this she even had the audacity to blame mccain's staffers for telling the truth about her--convinces me she needs mental health counseling.
she's the teflon twit. "

Yes--her PR person shouldn't be allowed to wiggle off the hook--but Palin may have overridden their better judgment, and decided (foolishly) to reject it.
It's never the role of the journalist to protect the interview subject's image--that is the job of the PR person's (and the interview subject's), and nobody else's.
The television station did nothing wrong here. Palin screwed up. She needs to take responsibility. "

When you're a PR professional in charge of a superior, you protect that person's image with your life, so to speak. You obsess over any/all details that could potentially make that person look bad. Clearly, Palin's PR person fell down on the job. They're the ones in charge of protecting her image. "

Let's not forget, people--SARAH PALIN USED TO BE A BROADCAST JOURNALIST AND HAS A COMMUNICATIONS STAFFER! Palin's staffer is in charge of planning/scheduling/getting the ok on the shoot.
I'm a former news producer for a national network turned communications professional and I tell you this--Palin is NO victim of the media here. THE COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR IS THE PERSON WHO SHOULD BE FIRED--if anybody! It was up to them--not the news employees--to stage this properly and in a way that benefitted Palin. "
