Dec. 1, 2:45 a.m., Mat-Su Regional Medical Center: Richard O Butcher, 51, arrested on $5,000 warrant for contempt of court on DUI charge.

Dec. 1, 6:45 a.m., Wasilla: Robert D. Weers, 48, arrested during an accident investigation on warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge. Bail: $500

Nov. 30, 3:06 a.m., Mug-Shot Saloon: Anthony Bowen, 39, Wasilla, arrested on warrants for contempt of court and failure to appear in court on no insurance charge. Bail: $1,000.

ASSAULT

Dec. 1, 6:18 a.m., Butte: Tokpela Gunton, 38, Palmer, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. Charges: Assault. No bail set.

Dec. 1, 10:30 p.m., Eagle Vista Dr.: Casey Kinsora, 18, Wasilla, arrested for assault. No bail set.

Dec. 3, 12:57 a.m., Tattler Dr.: William R. Greenewald allegedly assaulted a family member during an argument. Charge: Assault. No bail set.

DWLSCR

Dec. 2, 8:40 p.m., Parks Hwy and Willow-Fishhook Rd.: Troopers tried to pull over a red Ford pickup, which accelerated and skidded into the ditch. Melvin Hodson, 51, Willow, arrested for DWLR. Bail: $1,000.

Dec. 2, 5:45 p.m., Palmer: Kyla Neil, 20, Palmer, stopped for expired registration. Summons: DWLS.

THEFT

Dec. 1, 2:31 p.m., Old Glenn Hwy.: Someone reported an orange Husqvarna chainsaw stolen from a home.

Dec. 1, 5:20 a.m., Mile 59.5 Glenn Hwy.: Someone pried the rear window of the Hilltop Tesoro open and stole cartons of cigarettes, boxes of candy, 12-packs of Coke products and a cash lock box. Loss: $4,000. Damage: $400.

Dec. 1, 5:24 p.m., Caulder Rd.: Sometime that morning or afternoon someone burglarized a home. Loss: $2,000.

Nov. 27, 3:30 p.m., Mile 7.5 N. Palmer-Fishhook Rd.: Jesse A. Ray, 25, Palmer, arrested for allegedly stealing $600 worth of goods from a nearby home. Charges: Theft. Bail: $2,500.

Dec. 1, 1:39 p.m., S. Glacier Dr.: Police arrested Rueben Fielder, 22, Anchorage, alleging he broke into a home and stole a small safe containing $2,400 in gold coins. Charges: Burglary, theft, criminal mischief. Bail: $1,500.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Nov. 25, 12 p.m., W. Cache Cir.: Gilbert Freeman, 83, Oakland, Calif., was found to have died of natural causes.

Nov. 28, 12:22 p.m., Nelson Ave.: Martin Kowalski, 81, Wasilla, was found unresponsive at his home. Medics could not revive him.

FRAUD

Nov. 25: Red Cross employees reported an attempted fraud.

RUNAWAYS

Nov. 25, 7 p.m.: Marie Roberts, 48, Wasilla, reported her 14-year-old daughter had run away from home earlier that afternoon.

Nov. 30, 7:30 p.m., Dorothy Saxton Youth Shelter: An employee reported a boy and a girl, both 16, Wasilla, had run away. Both are wards of the state.

Dec. 1, 9:20 a.m., Dorothy Saxton Youth Shelter: Police responded to the shelter for the report of three juveniles who had run away.

Dec. 1, 5:06 p.m., Dorothy Saxton Youth Shelter: Police took report of a 15-year-old girl who had run away, leaving through the front doors of the shelter with her boyfriend.

DUI

Nov. 26, 4:54 a.m.: Love Rydes, 37, Wasilla, arrested for DUI and jailed until released to a sober third party.

Nov. 29, 12:50 a.m.: Lance Skarbo, 38, Wasilla, stopped for driving his snowmachine in violation of city codes. Charge: DUI. Bail: $1,500.

MVC

Nov. 26, 12;09 p.m., Lucille St. and Spruce Ave.: Brian Jones, 25, Chugiak, northbound driving a 1994 Chevrolet pickup when he allegedly ran a stop sign and hit a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Andrey Tereschenko, 25, Wasilla. No injuries. Vehicle damage minor. Jones cited for not stopping.

Nov. 28, 3:30 p.m., Herning Ave.: Sherry Tilton, 55, Wasilla, allegedly made an unsafe U-turn and hit a vehicle driven by Brian Garst, 21, Anchorage, in the left rear bumper. Vehicle damage minor. Tilton cited for making an improper U-turn.

Nov. 28, 5 p.m., Sylvan Learning Center: Kim Robinson, 53, Palmer, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Leonard Wallner, 74, Palmer. Vehicle damage minimal.

Nov. 28, 5:42 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Rodney Cottle, 77, Wasilla, northbound when he hit a vehicle driven by Dave Borchardt, 18, Wasilla, while making a turn. Cottle cited for failure to yield.

Nov. 28, 7:05 p.m., Hurley Cir. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Sabrina Tomlinson, 19, Wasilla, allegedly failed to stop for a steady red light and hit a car driven by Dale Hall, 50, Wasilla. No injuries.

Nov. 29, 7 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: A 57-year-old Wasilla woman reported someone backed into her car at Mad Max. A window was broken and the driver door damaged.

Dec. 1, 1:25 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Robert Henson, 18, Wasilla, rear-ended Kristen Smith, 24, Wasilla. Henson was cited.

THEFT/SHOPLIFTING

Nov. 26, 1 p.m. Carrs: An off-duty Wasilla police sergeant called for backup helping loss prevention employees. Chad Kreftmeyer, 20, and his sister Cricket Edison, 18, allegedly stole $22 worth of deli food. Kreftmeyer allegedly assaulted employees attempting to stop him, causing minor injuries. Kreftmeyer’s charges: Assault, theft. Bail: $2,500. Theft charges on Edison were sent to the district attorney.

Nov. 28, 4:20 a.m., Fred Meyer parking lot: A 19-year-old Wasilla man reported $210 worth of clothing and other items stolen from his 1989 Dodge.

Nov. 28, 6 p.m., E. Kalli Cir.: A 51-year-old Wasilla woman reported her vehicle had been broken into and an emergency kit and CD holder with 30 disks had been stolen.

Nov. 29 8:30 a.m., Wal-Mart parking lot: Drew Fannin, 59, Wasilla, reported his cell phone stolen from his vehicle.

Nov. 29, 10:39 p.m., Yamaha Store: Police on patrol noted evidence of a possible theft. The store manager confirmed gasoline had been stolen.

Nov. 30, 2:38 p.m., Graybark Dr.: Police took report of a stolen vehicle found stuck in a ditch in the snow. A 54-year-old Wasilla man had reported the pickup stolen the previous evening from the Mat-Su Resort. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

Nov. 28, 12:10 p.m.: Marina Nelson, 31, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLS

Nov. 29, 9:27 p.m.: Janie Woodall, 36, Houston, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLS.

WARRANTS

Nov. 28, 8:15 a.m., Sportsman’s Warehouse: During a shoplifting investigation, Shawna Devilbiss, 33, Wasilla, turned herself in. Police found she had $1,000 a warrant for failure to appear in court and jailed her for that.

Nov. 29, 12:45 p.m., Mug-Shot Saloon: John Sledge, 20, Wasilla, contacted for trying to enter the bar with a fake ID, arrested on warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLR and underage drinking charges. Charges being under 21 at the bar were sent to the district attorney.
