Dec. 29, 7:50 a.m., Holland Ave.: Tony L. Moore, 47, arrested at a home on two $2,500 warrants with the original charge of DUI: one for violating probation, one for failure to appear at an alcohol treatment hearing.

Dec. 28, 3:54 p.m., Stoneybrook Rd. and Riffle Rd.: Daniel G. Govon, 42, Wasilla, southbound in his 1999 Dodge pickup, stopped at the intersection when Harley Keller, 18, Wasilla, hit him attempting a left turn in a 1990 Acura Integra. No injuries. Keller’s damage: $3,000. Govan’s damage: $2,500. Keller cited for speeding.
Dec. 28, 9:42 p.m., Mile 10 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Sherri S. Spohnholz, 50, Wasilla, westbound in her 1999 Ford Ranger, hit a moose. Spohnholz unhurt. Damage: $5,000. Moose donated to charity.
Dec. 29, 1:55 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Meadow Lakes Lp.: Brea M. Preskitt-Bailey, 33, Wasilla, northbound in a Dodge Caravan when she hit a patch of ice, spun sideways, left the road and rolled into the ditch. Preskitt-Bailey hospitalized as a precaution. Damage: $1,000.

Dec. 29, 11:49 p.m., Palmer: Mildred E. Westcott, 97, Palmer, found to have died at home of natural causes.

Dec. 23, 2:59 p.m., Sears: An employee reported a silver Toyota car hit a parked vehicle and left the scene. The owner of the parked vehicle was notified of the damage.
Dec. 23, 5:46 p.m., Parks Hwy. near Sportsman’s Warehouse: Robert Breher, 44, Wasilla, was hit by a vehicle that immediately left the scene.
Dec. 23, 8 p.m., Fern St. and Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: A 17-year-old Wasilla boy was unable to stop, hitting vehicles driven by Maria Gonzales, 49, Wasilla, and Rowena Lee, 29, Wasilla. The boy was cited for not exercising due care.
Dec. 23, 11:13 p.m., Lucille St. near Nelson Ave.: Nathaniel Rouse, 21, Big Lake, rear-ended a vehicle driven by Bill Hess, 58, Wasilla while Hess was stopped at the caution lights in front of the fire station. Rouse cited for not exercising due care.
Dec. 24, 1:51 p.m., out front of police headquarters: Rita Davila, 59, Wasilla, was trying to merge into the left lane and hit a vehicle driven by Michael Lewis, 37, Wasilla. Davila cited for not exercising due care.
Dec. 27, 12:07 p.m., Home Depot parking lot: John Paramo, 40, Wasilla, was leaving the lot when he was hit by Angela Harbour, 29, Wasilla. No injuries. No citations.
Dec. 29, 1:22 p.m., W. Lone Cub Dr.: Kaela Larson, 18, Wasilla, pulled out of an apartment complex in front of Melonna Miles, 44, Wasilla. Damage minor. No injuries.
Dec. 30, 1:23 p.m., Lucille St.: Kristal J. Walker, 23, Wasilla, southbound on Lucille St. when she rear-ended a vehicle driven by David Dargis, 55, Wasilla. No injuries. Walker cited for not having proof of insurance, not exercising due care, and driving on an expired license.
Dec. 30, 3:11 p.m., Seward-Meridian Pkwy. near Wal-Mart: Marilyn Mapes, 54, Palmer, northbound when she rear-ended a vehicle driven by Ruben Pacheco, 33, Houston, who was stopped in traffic. No injuries.
Dec. 30, 3:11 p.m., Seward-Meridian Pkwy. near Wal-Mart: Nicholas Taylor, 23, Wasilla, allegedly failed to yield coming left out of Wal-Mart and was hit by Nathanial Kimble, 49, Wasilla. Taylor summonsed for DWLS.
THEFT
Dec. 23, 2:58 p.m., Target: Store employee Amy Koll, 29, allegedly took $120 in gift cards from the store. A theft charge is heading to the district attorney.
Dec. 24, 8:20 a.m., Valley Funeral Home: An employee reported a $300 MTA modem stolen. The theft occurred Nov. 16.
Dec. 28, 3:47 p.m., Wal-Mart: A 13-year-old boy allegedly shoplifted $57.96 in merchandise. Charges are heading to juvenile justice.
Dec. 28, 6:18 p.m., Fred Meyer: A 16-year-old Wasilla boy allegedly shoplifted $14.99 in merchandise. Charges are heading to juvenile justice.
Dec. 29, 5:12 p.m., Sears: A 16-year-old Wasilla girl allegedly shoplifted $74.98 in costume jewelry. Theft charges were sent to juvenile probation.
Dec. 29, 6:03 p.m., Home Depot: A 27-year-old Palmer man, stated he went into the store for 15 minutes and came back to find his vehicle was missing. Surveillance tapes are being obtained.
Dec. 30, 10:22 a.m.: A 51-year-old Wasilla woman reported that the day before medications and $206 cash had been stolen from her residence.

Dec. 30, 1:17 a.m., Mug-Shot Saloon parking lot: Gertie Zitzelberger, 25, Wasilla, arrested for DUI and refusing a chemical test. Bail: $1,000.

Dec. 29, 1:07 p.m., Holiday station: Police investigated a counterfeit $100 bill.
FOUND PROPERTY
Dec. 26, 2:48 a.m., Westpoint Dr.: A man waived down police and handed over a camera bag with various accessories he’d found on Wasilla-Fishhook Rd. near Mulchatna Dr. Police located the owner through identification engraved on the camera and will hold onto the items until they’re claimed.
ASSAULT
Dec. 26, 4:35 p.m.: Tracey Rhoads, 22, Wasilla, arrested for allegedly assaulting a 19-year-old Wasilla woman. Charge: Assault. No bail.
Dec. 28, 4:35 p.m., Tesoro station at Parks Hwy. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: A 29-year-old Wasilla man reported Gary Hagen, 59, Wasilla, assaulted him after an incident on the Parks Hwy.
Dec. 30, 11 a.m., 675 Parks Hwy.: A 40-year-old Wasilla woman reported she’d been assaulted by co-worker Brenda Brookey, 45, Wasilla. Assault charges will be sent to the district attorney.
LOST PROPERTY
Dec. 26, 7:25 p.m., McDonald’s parking lot: Sabrina Kendall, 18, Anchorage, lost a wallet containing credit cards.

Dec. 26, 11:56 p.m., W. Lakeside Dr.: Phillip Lockwood, 67, Wasilla, found to have died of natural causes.
WARRANTS
Dec. 27, 9:34 p.m., W. Briar Dr.: Chevy Hammond, 29, Wasilla, found hiding in bed, arrested on two warrants for failure to appear in court; one on DUI charge, the other on providing false information charge. Bail: $10,000. Shannon Watson, 24, charged with hindering prosecution for allegedly telling police Hammond wasn’t there.
DRUG MISCONDUCT
Dec. 30, 12:25 a.m., Jack Nicklaus Dr.: Dustin Killian, 22, Wasilla, and a 17-year-old Wasilla girl were sitting in a parked car. Officers smelled marijuana coming from inside. Killian turned over paraphernalia and a small amount of the drug. He was summonsed for drug misconduct VI. The same charge is heading to juvenile justice against the girl.
