Jan. 1, 5:25 p.m., Meadowwood Dr. near Big Lake Rd.: Alicia Dawn Fox, 36, Big Lake, stopped on a complaint from the public having driven into the ditch. Charges: DUI, DWLR. Bail: $1,000.

Jan. 3, 4:01 p.m., Schwabenhof restaurant: Sandra L. Calva, 52, Wasilla, arrested during a disturbance. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Jan. 1, 11:58 p.m., Hollywood Rd. and Hilltop Cir.: John S. Lappo III, 56, Wasilla, hit a parked car. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500.

ASSAULT

Jan. 2, 1:48 a.m., Starlight Ln.: Mark S. Fulton, 54, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member.

ASSAULT

Jan. 3, 8:12 p.m., Via Tranquilla Dr.: Thomas Glowacki, 19, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a female earlier that night. No bail set.

THEFT

Jan. 2, 7:15 a.m., South Lower Rd.: A 39-year-old Eagle River woman reported her home in Wasilla had been burglarized in the last six months and an entertainment shelf, a bed frame, a dresser and a small freezer had been taken. Loss: $500. A brown 1991 Subaru Legacy was also missing from the property. It turned up that afternoon in a driveway on Fairview Loop.

MVC

Jan. 2, 1:25 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Rainbow St.: Joseph Main, 79, Wasilla, turning eastbound in a 1980 Ford van, hit a westbound 2001 Honda sedan driven by Rebecca Donelson, 22, Wasilla. Donelson reported possible back pain. Damage: $3,000. Main cited for not yielding.

Jan. 3, 2 p.m., GEICO insurance parking lot, Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Sheryl Walker, 47, Wasilla, returned to her parked 2008 Subaru Outback to find that her front bumper had been hit. Damage: $2,000.

Jan. 3, 2:01 p.m., Charley Dr. and Moose St.: Samantha McCracken, 44, Wasilla, westbound in a 1997 GMC Jimmy, made a left turn and hit Robert Sagar, 60, Wasilla, who was northbound in his 1999 Chevrolet pickup. No injuries. Sagar’s damage: $1,000. McCracken’s damage: $1,500. McCracken cited for not exercising due care.

Jan. 3, 5:19 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Big Lake Rd.: Lori G. Osborn, 47, Wasilla, northbound in her 1991 Ford van when she took a left, pulling out in front of Johnna M. Brown, 30, Wasilla, who was southbound driving a 2002 Dodge Neon. Brown unhurt. Osborn and a passenger hospitalized. Both vehicles totaled.

Jan. 3, 8 p.m., Vine Rd. near Aeronautical Ave.: Larissa O. Phillips, 21, Wasilla, northbound in her 1995 Saturn LS when she hit a moose. A passenger had minor cuts from broken glass. Damage: $1,500. The moose appears to have survived.

Jan. 1, 11:31 p.m., McAdoo Way and Barra Lp.: Angelina L. Ruhlander, 22, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation, allegedly gave troopers a fake name. Charges: DWLR, providing false information. Bail: $1,500.

Jan. 2, 8:29 p.m., Hollywood Rd. near Betty J Rd.: Jason Allen Randall, 29, Wasilla, stopped for a minor equipment violation. Charge: DWLR. Bail: $500.

Jan. 3, 2:30 a.m., Peck St. and McKee Ct.: Jeremiah J. Sehl, 33, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLR.

Jan. 2, 8:38 p.m., Arctic St. and Bonanza St.: Gary L. Butcher III, 31, Palmer, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DWLS. Bail: $500.

Jan. 3, 2:10 p.m., Lucky Shot Ln.: Jason Crockett, 36, Willow, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLR.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

Jan. 3, 6:50 a.m., Talkeetna Spur Rd.: Delano Wier, 36, Talkeetna, allegedly punched a hole in a door and wall. Damage: $300. Charge: Criminal mischief. No bail set.

WARRANT

Jan. 2, 7:15 p.m., Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility lobby: Jason A. Lopez, 20, Wasilla, turned himself in on two $500 warrants for failure to appear in court on underage drinking charges. Bail: $1,000.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Jan. 3, 3 p.m., Deer Born Dr.: Martin Palmer, 81, Wasilla, died of an extended illness.

Dec. 24, 12:45 p.m., Big Lake: Christopher Humphrey, 26, Chugiak, cited for using bait where prohibited.

Dec. 24, 12:45 p.m., Big Lake: Anthony Rajek, 26, Eagle River, cited for using bait where prohibited.

Dec. 24, 12:45 p.m., Big Lake: Cheryl Swiantek, 18, Palmer, cited for using bait where prohibited.

Dec. 27, 3:25 p.m., Big Lake: Zebadiah Kraft, 24, Wasilla, cited for using bait where prohibited.

Jan. 2, 3:45 p.m., Big Lake: Stephen Doughty, 32, Wasilla, cited for using bait where prohibited.

HUNTING VIOLATION

Dec. 15: Charles Brenshetler, 45, Palmer, sentenced for taking a moose in closed season. Sentence: $6,000 fine with $3,000 suspended, 30-day prison term with 30 days suspended, three years’ probation, hunting license suspended through 2009.

ASSAULT

Dec. 29: A 17-year-old Palmer girl was charged with assault for allegedly assaulting a 43-year-old man.

Dec. 31: A 16-year-old Palmer girl was arrested for assault after allegedly hitting her 36-year-old mother.

DUI

Dec. 29: Johnnie L. Wallace III, 19, Palmer, arrested for DUI, underage drinking and minor driving after drinking. Jailed until sober. Passenger Brent O. Ladd, 19, Wasilla, summonsed for underage drinking.

Jan. 1: Cory J. Sandiford, 30, Wasilla, arrested for DUI and DWLR. Bail: $1,000.

Jan. 2: Stacy Lynn Prudence, 35, Wasilla, stopped for a traffic violation. Summons: DUI.

Dec. 30: Chad Kreftmyer, 20, Wasilla, arrested on no-bail warrant requiring him to obtain a new third-party custodian and three warrants totaling $7,500 for failure to appear at trial on forgery and theft charges, at arraignment on assault and theft charges, at a hearing on a theft charge,

Jan. 1, police headquarters: Brenden Heller, 22, Wasilla, arrested on $500 warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge.

Jan. 2: Sophia Elena Tobios, 19, Wasilla, arrested on $750 warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge.

Dec. 30: W. Evergreen Ave. in front of Chevron: Richard C. Keil, 38, Palmer, and Aaron C. Mahan, 18, Palmer, had a wreck. No injuries.

Jan. 1: W. Evergreen Ave. near Glenn Hwy.: A 1998 Chevrolet four-door driven by Scott T. Blayney, 20, Palmer, hit a 2000 Jeep driven by Lori L. Froehle, 36, Palmer. No injuries.

Jan. 2: S. Felicia St. and W. Woodstock Dr.: Rolf Dagg, 36, Palmer, and Tuuta Inoke, 27, Anchorage, had a wreck. No injuries.

Jan. 3: Megan Rozkydal-Schwulst, 19, Palmer, reported her 1992 Lexus struck and damaged at Shear Fire Design. Damage: $1,000.

DWLSCR

Dec. 31: Matthew Gene Nicodemus, 20, Wasilla, stopped for expired registration. Summons: DWLS.

Jan. 1: Roger L. Brown, 46, Wasilla, arrested for DWLS.  Bail: $1,000.

Jan. 2: Archie A. Watson IV, 36, Palmer, arrested for DWLR. Bail: $500.

Jan. 3: Roy Duane Kimbro, 40, Wasilla, arrested for DWLR. Bail: $500. Passenger John Wayne Morris, 35, Big Lake, arrested on $1,000 warrant for contempt of court on DWLS charge. Passenger Rebecca Levi Tyree, 19, Chugiak, arrested for drug misconduct. Bail: $2,500.

Jan. 3: Troy Johnson, 35, Wasilla, summonsed for DWLS.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Jan. 1, Klondike Mike’s bar: Randy Gene Lytle, 47, Palmer, arrested at a disturbance for trespassing, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Bail: $750.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Jan. 2: Barbara B. Cripe, 75, Palmer, found dead at home of natural causes.

THEFT

Jan. 2: An 80-year-old Palmer man reported a scanner stolen from his home.

Jan. 4, Carrs: A 17-year-old Palmer boy was caught allegedly shoplifting. Charges are being sent to Juvenile Justice.

MARIJUANA USE

Jan. 4: Paten W. Corbin, 22, Palmer, Jesse A. Petrovich, 20, Palmer, Johnny S. Hammons, 18, Palmer, Morgan Risley, 18, Palmer, and a 17-year-old Wasilla girl were contacted in the parking lot of the Sherrod softball fields. Officers smelled burning marijuana. Corbin handed over 3.8 grams of marijuana and two pipes. The 17-year-old was released to her father. Drug misconduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor charges will be sent to the district attorney against Corbin.
