WARRANTS

Feb. 6, 9:30 a.m., Full Curl Ave.: Velvet L. Fox, 23, Wasilla, arrested at a residence on two warrants for failure to appear in court on NVOL charge. Bail: $500.

Feb. 6, 2:15 p.m., Glenn Hwy.: Crystal J. Fox, 23, Palmer, arrested at a motel on two warrants for failure to appear in court, one on charges of NVOL the other on charges of DWLS. Bail; $750.

Feb. 6, 9:45 p.m., Wasilla: Daniel Gene Bailey, 19, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for probation violation on charges of assault, criminal mischief and interfering with a domestic violence report. Bail: $1,500.

Feb. 6, 9:45 p.m., Wasilla: Kimala Mitchell, 45, Wasilla, arrested on two warrants for failure to appear in court on DWLS charges. Bail: $1,000.

Feb. 7, 1:47 a.m., Bogard Rd. near Tait St.: Stephanie R. Topkok, 21, Anchorage, arrested at a traffic stop on two warrants with original charges of underage drinking, one for a probation violation, the other for contempt of court.

Feb. 7, 5:30 a.m., Seward-Meridian Pkwy. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Marcus W. Kolstad, 31, Wasilla, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on charges of drug misconduct II and IV. No bail set.

 

DWLSCR

Feb. 7, 1:47 a.m., Bogard Rd. near Tait St.: Gary L. Olson, 20, Anchorage, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLR.

MVC

Feb. 6, 3:06 p.m., Colleen St. near Dunn Ct.: Betty Ulrich, 66, Wisconsin, southbound in a 2001 Dodge Shadow, lost control, slid down a 20-foot embankment and into a tree. She was hospitalized with minor injuries. Vehicle damage: $2,000.

Feb. 7, 10:15 a.m., Bogard Rd. and Seldon Rd.: Patrick J. Porter, 27, Anchorage, northbound in 2002 Chevrolet pickup, allegedly ran a stop sign and hit a green 1995 Dodge neon driven by Karryle A. Krueger, 44, Wasilla. No injuries. Neon’s damage: $2,000. Pickup’s damage: $200. Porter cited for running a stop sign.

Feb. 8, 10:05 a.m., Mile 54 Parks Hwy.: Paul J. Sturgeon, 35, Wasilla, was northbound driving a 2004 Ford pickup pulling two snowmachines on a trailer. Bryan M. Kirby, 29, Palmer, was behind him driving a 1995 Ford pickup also pulling two snowmachines on a trailer. Sturgeon attempted a U-turn but didn’t see Kirby, causing a collision. Kirby’s snowmachines left the trailer and hit the rear of his vehicle. No injuries. Sturgeon’s damage: $3,000. Kirby’s Damage: $4,000 plus $500 for each snowmachine. Sturgeon cited for not exercising due care.

Feb. 8, 2:42 p.m., Wasilla-Fishhook Rd. and McCasey Dr.: Cherish Klingbell, 29, Wasilla, northbound in a white 1996 GMC Yukon when a 17-year-old Wasilla boy in a black 1995 Honda Civic crossed the centerline. No injuries. Damage to Yukon: $2,000. Civic totaled. Teen cited for not exercising due care.

MISUSE OF PLATES

Feb. 6, 11:45 p.m., Mile 36.5 Parks Hwy.: James Jackson, 40, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation, found to have the wrong plates on his Lincoln sedan. Summons: Misuse of plates.

Feb. 7, 1 p.m., Willow-Fishhook Rd.: Matthew Jones, 21, Willow, stopped driving a Chevrolet pickup with plates in the front that didn’t match the plates in the rear. Summons: Misuse of plates.

ASSAULT

Feb. 7, 6 p.m., Woodruff Lp.: Sven List, 34, Wasilla, arrested at a disturbance for allegedly assaulting a family member. Charge: Assault. No bail set.

DUI

Feb. 7, 10:05 p.m., Mile 35.5 Glenn Hwy.: Melanie M. Irwin, 36, Eagle River, stopped for erratic driving. Charges: DUI, DWLS, drug misconduct. Bail: $5,000.

Feb. 8, 3:10 a.m., Mat-Su Resort parking lot: Christine M. Fike, 40, Wasilla, stopped for driving without headlights. Charge: DUI. Citations: headlights required, expired registration, no proof of insurance, not wearing seatbelt. Bail: $2,000.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Feb. 8, 3:15 p.m., Sunshine Clinic: Joseph Fisher, 72, Talkeetna, died. No foul play is suspected.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

Feb. 4, Willow: Starr Everett, 56, Willow, cited for not submitting a hunt report as required.

Feb. 7, Big Lake: Warren Gangwer, 28, Anchorage, cited for taking two arctic char over 20 inches when the limit is one. The fish were given to a local charity.

NVOL

Feb. 7, 1:08 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Wasilla Lake: Ashli Dawn Werner, 23, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: NVOL. Bail: $50.

PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

DUI

Feb. 2: Gregory A. Franklin, 44, Palmer, arrested for DUI and refusing a chemical test. Bail: $2,500.

Feb. 6: Christian M. Ohler, 32, Eagle River, arrested for DUI and refusing a chemical test. Bail: $2,500.

Feb. 6: Jeffrey Aaron Wilson, 38, Wasilla, arrested for DUI and violating a license limitation. Bail: $5,000.

Feb. 7: Angelica Rose Hollering, 20, Anchorage, arrested for DUI. Bail: $1,500.

MVC

Feb. 3, Dogwood Ave. and S. Cobb St.: 17-year-old Palmer girl driving a 2000 Dodge Durango, hit a 2009 Toyota Corolla driven by Aimee Ehmann, 30, Wasilla. Ehmann hospitalized with neck injuries. Teen cited for not yielding.

Feb. 3: A 61-year-old Palmer woman reported her 1997 Ford Taurus had been hit by a black Toyota car driven by a woman in her 40s, who then fled.

Feb. 4, Palmer High School: A 46-year-old Palmer man reported his daughter’s Honda Civic was damaged while parked. Damage: $1,500.

Feb. 6: Erin J. Stark, 25, Palmer, was unable to stop on the ice and hit a vehicle driven by Russel S. James, 42, Valdez. No injuries. Stark cited for speeding.

RUNAWAY

Feb. 4: A 16-year-old Palmer boy was reported as a runaway.

WARRANTS

Feb. 5: Carl David Leedom, 21, Chugiak, arrested on $250 warrant for failure to satisfy judgment on an underage drinking charge.

Feb. 7: Emmaly Sue Love, 20, Anchorage, arrested on $250 warrant for failure to complete community work service on shoplifting charge.

Feb. 7: Kenneth Paniptchuk, 22, Anchorage, arrested on no-bail warrant for failure to report to jail on DUI charge.

DWLR

Feb. 6: Charles John Hannon, 22, Wasilla, summonsed for DWLR.

Feb. 7: Justin Hoeldt, 31, Palmer, arrested for DWLR, violating his release conditions, making a false report and drug misconduct IV. Bail: $7,500.

THEFT

Feb. 7: A 65-year-old Palmer woman reported $20 in property stolen from her vehicle at her home.

VANDALISM

Feb. 8: A 60-year-old Palmer man reported the back window of his vehicle broken.
