Leaders don’t listen to we, the people

To the editor:

It is a very sad day in America when the people we, the people, hired will not listen to we, the people, and will not work for the people.

All over America people have told their Washington representatives, senators and president through e-mail, faxes, phone calls and petitions — along with polls in each state — that we, the people, do not want this stimulus package, and no one listens.

What are our options here?

1. Lay down and take it.

2. Revolt.

These same representatives, senators and president have taken steps to stop us with:

1. Martial law enforcement.

2. Concentration camps.

3. Our freedom of speech, religion, gun rights are being taken away from us.

4. Our property will be taken away, hunger will run rampart and generations of our children and grandchildren will suffer the debt this is generating.

So what is the answer? Who is going to help us?

Hey, American...thanks heaps for electing this man President. Thanks a lot. Maybe we should have just elected bin Laden and been done with it. "

" Too Humorus - The permanent fund is a perfect example of how government should be run through captilsim. It is fiscally responsible - it plans for future (when nonrenewable resources are gone) by saving half of revenues generated by private industry through the lease of public land. Then investing a portion to increase the fund (it’s permanent to benefit all generations of Alaskans) and return a share of earnings from the use of public land to the public. This prevents government from spending all revenues yet allows the utilization of the remaining revenues for public and social works. "
