WARRANTS

Mar. 13, 12:47 a.m., Tailgaters Bar: Christopher Pettit, 35, arrested after a disturbance on $250 warrant for violating probation.

Mar. 15, 9:31 a.m., Old Matanuska Rd.: Justin King, 18, Sutton, found sleeping in a vehicle at the end of the road, arrested on $150 warrant for theft.

THEFT

Mar. 13, 1:18 a.m., Mug-Shot Saloon: A 24-year-old Wasilla man reported more than $600 in bowling equipment stolen from his vehicle.

Mar. 13, 6:02 p.m., Carrs: A 15-year-old boy allegedly shoplifted $10.99 in merchandise. A report will be sent to Juvenile Intake.

VANDALISM

Mar. 13, 12:39 a.m., Grand View Inn: James Foley, 40, Anchorage, allegedly punched the windshield of a pickup, causing it to crack, during an argument that began over a game of pool. Charges are being sent to the District Attorney.

Mar. 13, 12:55 a.m., E. Kalli Cir.: A 48-year-old Wasilla resident reported the door of her home had been forced open. It is believed her three dogs stopped the burglar from entering.

Mar. 14, 11:35 a.m.: Kristopher Simpson, 26, Big Lake, stopped for having expired registration. Summons: DWLR.

DUI

Mar. 14, 10:46 p.m., Mile 47 Parks Hwy.: Rick Brown, 54, Wasilla, stopped for speeding and driving erratically. Charge: DUI, drug misconduct IV. Bail: $1,000.

FOUND PROPERTY

Mar. 15, 10:51 a.m.: Police took possession of a wallet found at the Palmer Chevron. The wallet was placed in safekeeping until it’s claimed by either Daniel Nissen, 21, Big Lake, or Vencent Nelson, 31, Palmer.

WARRANTS

Mar. 9: Dusten Paul Kirker, 19, Wasilla, arrested on $500 warrant for failure to appear in court on a DWLS charge.

Mar. 9: Shannon Lorraine Davenport, 38, Seward, arrested on two warrants: one for $5,000 for failure to appear in court on prostitution charges and one for $1,000 for not complying with alcohol screening on a DUI charge.

Mar. 10: Lara Levia Bergerson, 21, Palmer, arrested on $250 warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge.

Mar. 11: Brendon L.C. Atchak, 33, Palmer, arrested on $500 warrant for failure to appear at disposition hearing on a domestic violence assault charge.

Mar. 11: Lorelle Brianne Sybnski, 20, Wasilla, arrested on $750 warrant for failure to appear at trial call on NVOL charge.

Mar. 12: Tyler Ferguson, 32, Hawaii, arrested on an extraditable warrant from the Kona County Police Department. No bail.

WEAPONS MISCONDUCT

Mar. 10: Evan John Leblanc, 46, Palmer, arrested for allegedly being intoxicated and brandishing a semiautomatic handgun in an apartment stairwell.

THEFT

Mar. 10: Police investigated a report of items stolen from a parked and unattended vehicle.

Mar. 13: Police arrested a 15-year-old boy for allegedly shoplifting from Carrs.   

Mar. 15: Tobias Daniel Armento, 30, Palmer, arrested for burglary, theft, fraudulent use of an access device and forgery. Bail: $2,100.

MVC

Mar. 10, W. Dahlia Ave. and S. Bailey St.: Shannon Michelle Johnson, 28, Wasilla, and Kenneth M. Smith, 76, Palmer, were in a wreck. No injuries.

Mar. 15, Fred Meyer parking lot: A 33-year-old Palmer woman reported a dirty maroon Ford pickup hit a shopping cart that then hit her vehicle, damaging the right front fender.

ASSAULT

Mar. 11: A 33-year-old Palmer man was arrested at a disturbance for assault.

Mar. 12: James R. Gilpin, 50, Palmer, arrested for DUI, NVOL, and drug misconduct VI. Bail: $5,000.

DWLR

Mar. 13: Stormy Rebecka Boylan, 19, Palmer, stopped for a moving violation. Summons: DWLR.

DUI

Mar. 12, 4:45 p.m., Vera Wy.: Lori Lynn Hobbs, 52, Palmer, arrested after the car she was driving was called in by a concerned citizen. Charge: DUI. Bail: $2,500.

Mar. 14, 2:06 a.m., Starlight Ln.: Reginald E. Baldwin, 46, Wasilla, spotted walking away from his vehicle stuck in the ditch. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Mar. 14, 10:17 p.m., Mile 13 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Robert J. Norris Jr., 48, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

MVC

Mar. 12, 4:30 p.m. Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: A 1992 Chevrolet Astro van, driven by Susan Menninga, 45, Palmer, rear-ended a 1994 Chevrolet van driven by Amanda L. Konyndyk, 24, Palmer as Konyndyk attempted a left turn. Damage: $2,000. Menninga cited for not exercising due care.

Mar. 13, 5 p.m., Mile 30 Glenn Hwy.: Lori Godfrey-Ivey, 32, Wasilla, southbound driving her 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, side-swiped a 2007 Chevrolet utility truck driven by Eric Baxter, 39, Anchorage. Damage to both vehicles: $2,000. No injuries. Godfrey-Ivey cited for not exercising due care.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Mar. 12, 5:13 p.m., Houston: Albert Newhall, 54, Houston, died while cutting firewood. Foul play is not suspected.

Mar. 15, 11:22 a.m., E. Carol Ann Rd.: Jack Duncan, 6 months old, died of natural causes.

THEFT

Mar. 12, 2:53 p.m., Settlers Bay Dr.: Someone broke open a garage door sometime that day or the previous evening and stole numerous items including electronics and money. Damage: $200.

Mar. 14, 3:57 a.m., Meadow Lakes Rd. and Skyview Dr.: Martine A. Turner, 31, stopped during the investigation of an attempted theft. The vehicle turned out to have been taken without the owner’s permission. Charges: DUI, vehicle theft, DWLS. Bail: $5,000.

Mar. 13, 12 p.m., Cottle Lp.: Jane Daniels, 45, Wasilla, stopped for a traffic violation. Summons: DWLS.

Mar. 13, 11:40 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Lucus Rd.: Patrick M. Eblen, 27, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: DWLS.

Mar. 14, 12:37 p.m., Talkeetna Spur Rd.: Issac Couchie, 33, Talkeetna, stopped for a moving violation. Charge: DWLR. Bail: $1,000. His mother, Mary McCrum, 60, Talkeetna, was summonsed for allowing an unauthorized person to drive.

Mar. 13, 11 p.m., Parks Hwy. and Main St.: Patrick Spain, 23, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: NVOL.

ASSAULT

Mar. 14, 2:30 a.m., Sunrise Rd.: Jason C. Goynes, 26, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member. Charges: Assault, DUI. No bail set.

Mar. 14, 2:35 p.m., Knights Dr.: Timothy Waagan, 43, Big Lake, allegedly assaulted his wife with a dangerous instrument, then tried to stop her reporting it. He also got combative with troopers. Charges: Assault, interfering with a domestic violence report, resisting arrest. No bail set.

Mar. 15, 12:38 p.m., Knollwood Dr.: John William Bancroft, 29, Big Lake, allegedly assaulted a family member. Charge: Assault. No bail set.

VANDALISM

Mar. 13, Waldal Rd.: Adam J. Avakumoff, 26, Wasilla, allegedly broke the window of a family member’s vehicle. Charge: domestic violence, criminal mischief. No bail set.

Mar. 13, 3:52 p.m., Prator Lake: Roy K. Chenault, 29, Houston, contacted while fishing, arrested on a warrant for failure to comply with court orders on charges of taking a bull moose in a closed season.

Mar. 14, 12:20 a.m. Crusey St.: Nicholas J. Moore, 20, Anchorage, arrested on two warrants for failure to appear on probation violation charges. Bail: $1,000.

DRUG MISCONDUCT

Mar. 15, 11:40 a.m., Mile 74 Parks Hwy.: Adam Stefanowski, 26, Talkeetna, stopped for a moving violation. Summons: Marijuana possession.

Mar. 9, 2:50 p.m., Big Lake: Jacob R. Debuck, 24, Big Lake, cited for fishing without a license.
