Road rage lands man in jail

WILLOW — Alaska State Troopers say a driver suffering from road rage flashed a gun at another motorist and ended up in jail.

The call reporting the incident came in at 1:40 p.m. Friday. Troopers say Perry Breeding, 36, of Willow, was southbound near Mile 75 Parks Highway when he and another motorist both passed the same slow-moving vehicle.

“Breeding became upset with the other driver and started tailgating him at a high rate of speed and making obscene gestures toward the other driver,” troopers wrote.

He also waived a gun at the other driver.

The other driver, troopers report, quickly called 911 and sped up to get away from Breeding.

Eventually, Breeding pulled into a Willow business where Wildlife Troopers met him. The other driver kept going and met up with troopers south of Willow.

Troopers searched Breeding and his vehicle, coming up with the gun and a small amount of marijuana.

Breeding was jailed on charges of reckless driving and sixth-degree drug misconduct. He was held at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $5,000 bail. Facility records late Monday showed he’d since bailed out.
