DUI

Mar. 15, 6:45 p.m., N. Willow Dr. at N. Cottonwood Lp.: Jessica Allen, 30, Wasilla, contacted on a report she’d hit multiple mailboxes before going into the ditch. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Mar. 15, 7:18 p.m., Mile 1.6 Papoose Twins Rd.: Richard D. Johnson, Jr., 43, Big Lake, contacted after multiple complaints he was impaired and stuck in a ditch. Also found to have a no-bail warrant for a prior DUI charge. New charges: DUI, DWLR.

Mar. 16, 11 p.m., Mile 50 Parks Hwy.: James Floyd Mcanulty, 31, Wasilla, stopped for speeding. Charge: DUI. Bail: $1,500.

WARRANTS

Mar. 16, Jim Creek: Matthew Ullrich, 21, Anchorage, arrested by troopers doing an ATV patrol on warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLC charge. Bail: $500.

Mar. 16, 8:16 p.m., Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility: Michael Ian Anthony Lanz, 19, Big Lake, arrested while visiting an inmate on warrant for failure to appear in court on driving on an instructional permit charge. Bail: $250.

Mar. 17, 7:05 a.m., Crane Dr.: Rebecca Thompson, 35, Wasilla, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court on NVOL charge. Bail: $250.

Mar. 17, 7:05 a.m., Crane Dr.: Brittany Madison, 23, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for failure to appear in court on theft charge. Bail: $750.

Mar. 17, 7:05 a.m., Crane Dr.: John Caverly, 25, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for failure to appear in court on theft charge. Bail: $1,500.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

Mar. 16, 12:57 a.m., Big Lake: Ellen Lockhart, 90, died of natural causes.

MVC

Mar. 16, 2:16 p.m., Parks Hwy. at Randall Rd.: A 17-year-old Big Lake boy stopped in the southbound lane in his 1994 Subaru Legacy to turn left. Ashley Galvin, 20, Wasilla, didn’t see he was stopped and rear-ended him. Galvin declined treatment for minor injuries. Damage to each vehicle: $5,000. Galvin cited for not exercising due care.

DRUG MISCONDUCT

Mar. 16, 5:45 p.m., Mile 64 Parks Hwy.: Saul Shiedt, 33, Kotzebue, stopped for a traffic violation, found to have two pounds of marijuana in the car. Charges: DWLR, drug misconduct IV. Bail: $5,000.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

Mar. 15, 4:55 p.m., Diamond Lake: Calvin R. Curtis, 43, Wasilla, cited for fishing without a license.

VANDALISM

Mar. 17, 7:02 a.m., Wickersham Wy.: Someone spray-painted and egged multiple vehicles.

THEFT

Mar. 17, 8:33 a.m., Rhubarb St.: Someone broke into a Green Chevrolet van and stole the stereo instrument panel.

VIOLATING RELEASE CONDITIONS

Mar. 17, 10:02 a.m., Vienna Woods Access: Daniel McMullen, 29, Wasilla, on release for a drug misconduct case, was found to be outside the sight or sound of his third party custodian.

WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT

ASSAULT

Mar. 16, 11:53 a.m., Recluse Dr.: Christina Marshburn, 20, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a man. Charge: Assault. No bail set.

STOLEN VEHICLE

Mar. 17, 6:32 a.m., Recluse Cir. and Melanie Ave.: A white van was reportedly parked in the middle of the road, causing a traffic hazard. The van turned out to have been reported stolen out of Anchorage on Feb. 26.
