DON L. ANDERSON

Mr. Don L. Anderson, 60, of Wasilla, died at his residence on March 28. He was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Donald J. and Myra Joy (LeFevre) Anderson.

After Don graduated from Anchorage High School in 1967, he joined the Navy. He was very proud of the fact that he served on both the USS Wasp and the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. After his years in the Navy, Don worked as journeyman electrician in the mines of Utah and Alaska. In early 2000 he moved to Alaska. After arriving here Don felt as though he had found his true home. He was an avid angler and loved the outdoors.

Don L. Anderson is survived by his children Tamara, Don and Ben; all of Washington and Dixie of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Savannah of Vermont, brothers; Myron Anderson of the Philippines, Charles “Spike” Anderson of Washington, Kevin Anderson of Grand Junction, Colo., and Tracy Anderson of Seward and sister, Maureen Anderson, of Hurricane, Utah, as well numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his father, Donald J. Anderson and his wife, Juana Velarde.


There will be a private Memorial Service for Don at a later date.

Valley Funeral Home — Wasilla is handling the arrangements.
