Alaska needs to save itself

To the editor:

A question is, how long does Alaska think it can stay afloat with all the bogus, valueless, wastepaper money Obama is flooding our entire nation with?

Does Alaska have to go belly up with what Alaska is sitting on under our North Slope with many pools of oil that are capped off? Like Gull Island that can dwarf Prudhoe with two 48-inchers, 1,200 feet of pay zone, four times the size of Prudhoe, five miles offshore of Prudhoe Bay waiting to be uncapped. Gull Island is just one of many. Our North Slope may rival Saudi Arabia holdings with proven seismographic tests.

For whatever reasons, why was there an attempt to nationalize the oil companies working so desperately to complete the pipeline to Valdez in a “time” deadline with state and federal fines, sanctions and cost runovers that prevented the gas line to be completed to Valdez simultaneously along side the crude line, thus prompting Atlantic Richfield to gamble their total worth to at least complete the crude line, $10-plus billion in cost overruns? Billions of thanks to ARCO.

Alaska has a painless, positive “out” to avoid the sure crash Obama is leading our once great nation into. The stimulus handout is a farce, doled out by a fake. It is your money he has lost through mismanagement with zero accountability. He does not care how much of your money he spends, as money is worthless without backing.

Every drop of oil Alaska ships to the Lower 48, Alaska will never see the full value of as it is going out in a gamble that is already teetering on a razor’s edge with more banks going under.

I have a foolproof message for Juneau and all Alaskans with an ounce of foresight: Secede from the union for the time it takes to turn D.C. upside down. Long enough that you don’t need a pair of hip boots to get around in.

You will need some deodorant for a time.

They view a secession as a way to get back to those beliefs and such that this country USED to represent. (Weren't all those liberals blathering about 'moving to Canada' after the 2004 election? 3) Many supporting the idea of secession DO enjoy the freedoms and values that the United States was founded on. But those values are either gone or disappearing ever faster. The United States is the same nation in name only as long as people continue to support radical socialism, loss of constitutional rights, etc. "

As America rushes headlong into socialism and potential facism from the left there is still hope. It is not yet time and probably never will be for an independent Alaska. Even if there was an independent Alaska it would not be long before the Russians rectified their long regretted mistake of 1867 and invaded. In any event if the U.S. continues to decline economically and militarily,Alaska may one day become expendable.Let's hope that day never comes. "

Besides, if we did the Russians would be drilling for that oil. Alaska has become a sanctuary state, ninety some languages being spoken in our schools, over a hundred gangs prowling our streets, and welfare recipients from every point of the compass. It is a nice thought though. "

If we indeed could seceed, we would have no problems opening up our own trade with other countries. The people in the lower 48 believe we couldn't fend for ouselves, but we know the truth.
Natural resources are what create wealth and prosperity, that in conjunction with hard work, and good leadership, would make a fine country.
I wish more people would start paying more attention to what's really going on. "
