WARRANTS

Apr. 7, 9 p.m., Ryan Cir.: Storm Unin, 28, Bethel, arrested on warrant with the original charge of harassment. Bail: $1,000.

Apr. 8, 7:22 p.m., Mile 3 Knik River Rd.: Glenn Scott Armstrong, 46, Palmer, arrested on two warrants — one for failure to appear in court on trespassing charge, the other for failure to perform community work service on DWLS charge. Bail: $750.

ACCIDENTS

Apr. 7, 4:06 p.m., Bogard Rd. and Seward-Meridian Pkwy.: A westbound, 16-year-old Dillingham girl tried to make a U-turn and hit a black 1976 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Benito E. Stevens, 19, Wasilla. No injuries. Damage: $2,000 each. Girl cited for making an unsafe U-turn.

Apr. 7, 7:39 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Hyer Rd.: A westbound, 17-year-old Wasilla boy tried to make a U-turn and hit a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup being driven by Tory S. Rieless, 19, Wasilla. No injuries. Damage: $5,000 each. Teen cited for making an unsafe U-turn and summonsed for providing false information.

Apr. 9, 2:50 p.m., Mile 49.5 Parks Hwy.: Thomas E. Brass, 40, Wasilla, northbound driving his 2003 GMC Safari, rear-ended a Ford Escape being driven by Julian B. Jones, 78, Wasilla. Brass’ damage: $5,000. Jones’ damage: $1,000. No injuries. Bass cited for not exercising due care.

DWLSCR

Apr. 8, 1:18 a.m., Pioneer Peak Dr. and Copper Creek Rd.: Andre L. LaFrance, 28, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DWLS. Bail: $250.

Apr. 8, 7:22 p.m., Mile 3 Knik River Rd.: Allen Clayton Leland Metcalf, 29, Palmer, stopped for speeding. Charges: DWLR and marijuana possession. Bail: $250.

THEFT

Apr. 8, 11:11 a.m., Grey Wolf Dr.: Two men were seen stealing four tires from a home. Troopers tracked the suspects to the corner of Seldon and Bogard roads. Nathan Monington, 29, Wasilla, and Jason Postishek, 27, Anchorage, were jailed on theft and trespassing charges. Monington’s bail: $250. Potishek’s bail: $1,000.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

Apr. 7: Holly Herrick, 50, Wasilla, cited for not returning her caribou hunt report.

Apr. 7: Henry Scepurek, 55, Wasilla, cited for not returning his hunt report.

ASSAULT

Apr. 8, 4:17, Parks Hwy. and Vine Rd.: Alma H. Johnston, 18, Wasilla, allegedly struck her boyfriend in the face while the two were arguing then left in their vehicle. Charge: Assault. No bail pending arraignment.

RUNAWAYS

Apr. 8, 2:25 p.m., Rosa House: An employee reported that a 15-year-old girl had left without permission.

Apr. 8, 11:43 a.m., Colony High School: Police received report that a 17-year-old boy reported as a runaway had been spotted at the high school the day before. He is believed to be in the Palmer area.

ASSAULT

Apr. 9, 6:30 a.m., Melanie Ave.: Michael Malley, 27, Wasilla, contacted at a disturbance. Assault charges against him were sent to the District Attorney.

THEFT

Apr. 9, 12:08 p.m.: A 28-year-old Wasilla man reported that sometime in the last week someone stole $10 in coins from the Glacier Canyon Grill where he is employed.

TRESPASSING

Apr. 9, 12:59 p.m., The Tub House: Brooke Glanz, 29, Wasilla, arrested for trespassing. Bail: $1,000.

COUNTERFEIT MONEY

Apr. 9, 4:50 p.m., KFC: An employee reported receiving two counterfeit $10 bills. He said the two boys who passed them appeared to be about 16 years old.

PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT

THEFT

Apr. 4, Active Soles shoe store: Police investigated a burglary and theft.

Apr. 4: Police received report of four males stealing from vehicles in the Palmer area.

BURGLARY

Mar. 30: A 47-year-old Wasilla woman reported someone tried to force open the door of her business. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Mar. 30: A 28-year-old Palmer man reported someone tried to force open the doors of the business where he works. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Apr. 2, Palmer High School: An attempted burglary was reported at the pool entrance.

ACCIDENTS

Mar. 30: Billy I. Gaines, 18, Palmer, reported his vehicle had been hit by a maroon pickup and the driver drove off southbound on Glenn Hwy.

Mar. 31, W. Evergreen Ave. near Glenn Hwy.: Paulette J. Akerelrea, 19, Scammon Bay, driving a 2001 Ford Taurus, hit a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Rose M. Walker, 44, Wasilla. No injuries.

Apr. 4: Glenn Hwy. and Drift Ln.: Virginia Eddie Spreen, 85, Wasilla, was in an accident in which the vehicle that struck hers fled. A short time later police found that Shannon Michelle Mudge, 24, Palmer, had fallen asleep at the wheel when she hit Spreen’s car. No injuries. Mudge cited for not staying on the right side and summonsed for leaving the scene of an accident.

WARRANTS

Mar. 31: Anthony D. Wells, 22, Palmer, jailed on two warrants for failure to appear in court on NVOL charges. Bail: $1,250.

Apr. 4: Michael Nerup Sr., 27, Palmer, arrested on warrant for failure to appear to jail on DWLR and no insurance charges. No bail.

RUNAWAY

Apr. 1: A 17-year-old Palmer boy was reported as a runaway.

ASSAULT

Apr. 1: A 38-year-old Palmer woman was arrested for domestic violence assault. No bail set.

Apr. 1: Police investigated an assault on a 16-year-old.
