Obama belittled our nation

To the editor: With outrage I write this letter. Our president ran down our country while in Strasbourg, France. Ten of my uncles and a sister served during WWII. One lost his leg in combat and was in a POW camp until liberated. Two left blood on European soil and returned home with last effects from the wounds. Two of our sons have served this country. One finished 21 1/2 years in the Army, receiving a bronze star and seeing plenty of combat in Iraq. The other son served in the Air Force as an F-16 pilot in Iraq and the Alaska Air Guard as a C130 pilot on several deployments to Afghanistan. He is still in the Air Guard in Alaska. Our grandson is now serving in the Army in the military police at Guantanmo Bay in Cuba. All these people and all those who have served our nation deserve respect and gratitude. Not a one in my family has regretted their service nor dwelled on it after returning home. They served with honor and pride.
