May 7, 5:30 p.m., Wampam Dr. near Wasilla-Fishhook Rd.: Victor Waag, 23, Wasilla, stopped for not wearing his seatbelt. Summons: DWLS.

ACCIDENT

May 7, 8:52 p.m., Palmer-Wasilla Hwy. and Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: After a hit-and-run accident, the suspect Ford Explorer was tracked to the owner’s home. Both the owner, Krystle Edwardson, 27, Wasilla, and her boyfriend, Thomas Stibbs, 38, Wasilla, were highly intoxicated and admitted to driving. Stibbs’ charge: Felony DUI. Bail: $5,000. Edwardson’s charge: DUI. Bail: $750.

ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

VANDALISM

May 5, 11:45 p.m., Bogard Rd. and Peck St.: David M. Sandvik Jr. was spotted about to throw a rock at a parked vehicle. He allegedly had already damaged two other vehicles causing $1,000 damage to one and $300 to the other. Charges: Criminal mischief. Jailed until sober.

ASSAULT

May 5, 9:33 p.m., Overlook Dr.: Charles Arnold, 49, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. Charge: Assault. No bail set.

May 7, 8740 W. Parks Hwy.: Vencent M. Nelson, 31, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted a family member and broke the phone when the victim was calling 911. Charges: Assault, interfering with a domestic violence report, criminal mischief. No bail set.

THEFT

May 4, 3:47 p.m., Crane Dr.: A Red Honda 50 CC motorcycle was stolen from a home. Loss: $1,000.

May 6, 2:43 a.m., Wolverine Ave. and Moose St.: Andrew P. Hawley, 23, Wasilla, and James J. Ting, 19, Wasilla, allegedly stole a $3,000 Polaris ATV from a home. Charges: Theft, trespassing. Bail: $5,000 each.

WILDLIFE VIOLATIONS

May 5, 5:15 p.m.., Willow Creek: Joshua Jones, 20, Wasilla, cited for fishing without a license.

WARRANTS

May 7, 1:07 p.m., Meadow Lakes: Paul Weston, 32, Wasilla, arrested on a no-bail warrant for assault at a traffic stop by troopers who recognized him.

May 7, 2:15 p.m., Mile 53 Parks Hwy.: James Wheat, 63, Anchorage, arrested at a traffic stop on warrant for failure to appear in court on no proof of insurance charge. Bail: $250.

May 7, 10:30 a.m., Wasilla: Kimmeth J. Irwin Jr., 38, Wasilla, arrested at home on a warrant for failure to report to jail on DUI, DWLS and child endangerment charges. No bail.

VIOLATING RELEASE CONDITIONS

May 7, 8:30 a.m., Wasilla: Martine Turner, 31, Wasilla, allegedly violated his release conditions by driving and not being with his third-party custodian. New charge: DWLR. Bail: $2,500.

DUI

May 7, 9:17 p.m., Emswiler Dr.: Barbara Carter, 43, Willow, arrested for DUI and without an ignition interlock device. Charges: Felony DUI, violating a limited license. Bail: $5,000.

May 8, 5:11 a.m., Parks Hwy. near Spenard Builder’s Supply: Troopers responding to a complaint from the public found a 17-year-old driver by the side of the road where his front wheel had broken from the axle. Charges: DUI, underage drinking, violating a provisional license, child endangerment. A 17-year-old passenger was summonsed for underage drinking.

May 8, 2:06 a.m., Wasilla: Otis McCall East Jr., 49, Wasilla, fled on foot from a vehicle troopers were trying to stop for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, DWLS, failure to stop for an officer. Bail: $5,000.

DEATH INVESTIGATION

May 7, 7:14 a.m., W. Alberta Cir.: Thomas Forstner, 49, Palmer, died of natural causes.

May 8, 4:58 a.m., Sparrow Ct.: Dorothy Maxwell, 101, Palmer, died in her sleep.

DRUG MISCONDUCT

May 7, 5 p.m., Mile 79.5 Parks Hwy.: James Morgan, 34, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Summons: Marijuana possession.
