May is National Foster Parent Appreciation Month. In the Mat-Su we celebrate Resource Family Appreciation and include licensed foster parents, relatives and adoptive parents caring for children who were removed from their birth homes due to abuse and neglect. The Alaska Center for Resource Families and the Office of Children’s Services recognized our resource families at the annual picnic last Saturday and had a wonderful time thanks to the generous in-kind and cash donations from:
