Thanks from The Children’s Place

To the editor:

The Children’s Place would like to publicly thank Lowes, the wonderful and energetic staff of First National Bank Alaska — Wasilla and Palmer branches — and United Way of Mat-Su for assisting our organization on United Way’s Day of Caring. Lowes generously donated paint and supplies to allow the staff of First National Bank Alaska to paint The Children’s Place kitchen and exterior doors. In addition, the FNBA volunteers cleaned up our large yard. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and efforts of Lowes and First National Bank. Words cannot express our gratitude. In our daily work with children who have been abused, we have not had the time or energy to tackle these facility projects. Having enthusiastic, generous sponsors and volunteers complete the projects was a fantastic help to our organization. Thank you Lowes and First National Bank Alaska for your help and support.

Many thanks also Linzi Rothermel, Campaign Director of United Way of Mat-Su. Ms. Rothermel coordinated this project, matching The Children’s Place with Lowes and First National Bank Alaska to make it all happen. We appreciate our community supporters. Thanks so much to all involved.
