Police Beat: June 19, 2009 WASILLA POLICE DEPARTMENT UNDERAGE DRINKING June 14, 1:10 a.m., Carrs: Gary Krisak, 19, Wisconsin, allegedly walked out of the store without paying for several bags of groceries. By the time police arrived he’d paid for them. Summons: Underage drinking, minor driving after drinking. June 15, 4:35 p.m.: Police conducting a traffic stop found one juvenile in the vehicle had been reported as a runaway and another had consumed alcohol. The runaway was returned to the state’s custody. The other juvenile was summonsed for underage drinking. DUI June 15, 5:43 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Lucus Rd.: Javier Chavez, 22, Anchorage, stopped on a complaint from the public. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500. June 15, 8:17 p.m.: Danielle Carrier, 30, Big Lake, stopped as a reckless driver. Charges: DUI, DWLS. VEHICLE THEFT June 15, 8:12 a.m.: Police stopped a stolen vehicle. The driver, David Ziegler, 18, Wasilla, had allegedly stolen it earlier that morning. Charges: Theft, criminal mischief, NVOL. ACCIDENTS June 15, 1:11 p.m., Knik-Goose Bay Rd. and Fern St.: Brittany Langham, 18, Wasilla, had a mechanical failure in her vehicle and drove off the road, hitting a berm. THEFT June 15, 5:51 p.m., Chattaroy Cir.: A 38-year-old Wasilla woman reported someone had pried open her bedroom window and taken a $300 DVD player. June 16, 4:02 p.m.: A 61-year-old Wasilla woman called to report her wallet has been stolen out of her shopping cart at Carrs. June 16, 5:05 p.m.: A 24-year-old Wasilla man reported someone stole his Kawasaki KX 125 dirt bike. Loss: $5,500. RECOVERED PROPERTY June 16, 8:47 p.m.: A white, 50cc Yamaha motorcycle was brought to police headquarters. It turned out to have been reported stolen on June 9. It was returned to its owner. June 16, 8:05 p.m., Lakeshore Dr. and Westcove Dr.: Police found an abandoned bicycle. PALMER POLICE DEPARTMENT THEFT June 5, Fred Meyer: Three Anchorage juveniles allegedly stole firewood. Theft charges are being sent to juvenile justice. June 8, Fred Meyer: A juvenile boy was allegedly caught shoplifting. Theft charges are being sent to Juvenile Justice. June 11, Carrs: A 14-year-old boy was allegedly caught shoplifting. Charges will be sent to Juvenile Justice. June 11: Police investigated unauthorized access to a credit card belonging to a 19-year-old Palmer woman. VANDALISM June 8: GCI reported damage to an outdoor cable service box and wire. DWLS June 8: A 15-year-old Anchorage boy was stopped for speeding. Summons: DWLS. June 9: Evan Lovett, 18, Palmer, fled on foot while officers tried to summons him for DWLS. The charge will be sent to the district attorney. June 11: Terry R. Spencer, 22, Wasilla, summonsed for DWLS while officers were investigating a car crash. NVOL June 8: Michelle L. Whiteside, 43, Palmer, summonsed for NVOL. ACCIDENTS June 8, Fred Meyer parking lot: James McCarrey III, 62, Anchorage, was backing out in his 2007 Winnebago when he hit a 2009 GMC Sierra pickup owned by Margaret Macleod, 62, Palmer. June 9: Todd Russell, 37, Palmer, driving a 2001 Ford pickup, rear-ended a 2002 Dodge Neon driven by Lisa Carl, 21, Palmer. FRAUD June 9: A 28-year-old Palmer woman reported she bought an item over the Internet and it has not been delivered. UNDERAGE DRINKING June 9: A 15-year-old Chugiak girl and a 16-year-old Palmer girl were summonsed for underage drinking. Lora Marie Haines, 36, Palmer, will be charged with reckless endangerment, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and providing alcohol to minors. June 14: Shelby Allison Plonta, 18, Palmer, contacted while police were called regarding a woman entering a home uninvited, was summonsed for underage drinking and making a false report to a police officer. WARRANTS June 10: Kyle R. Kirsch, 23, Anchorage, arrested on a $3,500 warrant for second-degree theft. June 11: Richard D. Vowell, 19, Palmer, arrested on $100 warrant for failure to appear in court on NVOL charge. New charge: Underage drinking. June 14: Billy W. Inman, 31, Palmer, arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for community service and failure to comply with alcohol screening on assault and criminal mischief charges. No bail set. DRUNK ON PREMISES June 10: Jacob Anderson Shavings, 40, Anchorage, arrested for being drunk on a premises licensed to sell alcohol. Bail: $1,000. DUI June 11: Bruce William Robertson, 39, Wasilla, arrested for DUI. Bail: $1,000. June 11: Daniel J. Monahan, 22, Palmer, arrested for DUI. Bail: $500. June 12: Anna Marie Harmon, 40, Palmer, arrested for DUI and refusing a chemical test during the investigation of a disturbance. Bail: $1,000. June 14: John E. Marden, 43, Palmer, had a car wreck with Neil A. Moss, 55, Wasilla. Marden was arrested for DUI. Bail: $500. DISORDERLY CONDUCT June 12: Amelia Renee Hoffman, 39, Palmer, arrested having been reported drunk and refusing to leave a home. Charge: Disorderly conduct. Jailed until released on her own recognizance. ELUDING ARREST June 13: Earl Ashworth, 42, Palmer, arrested for eluding arrest, drug misconduct, DWLS, misuse of plates and resisting arrest. Bail: $5,000. FOUND PROPERTY A small case with several hand tools was found near a residential section of Palmer. The owner may call the police with a description to claim the case and tools.
