Listen to the governor

To the editor:

I have been listening to your good governor since she became McCain’s choice for VP. Although I live in Texas, I am a Gov. Palin supporter as a conservative voter.

I am amazed at how many times she is exactly right. One instance is her comment about the “strings attached” for states in the current U.S. administration.

Finally, the proof of her statements was released publicly.

She did the right thing by her veto of a portion of those funds. Please appreciate your governor.  She is working for Alaska and the entire U.S.

Gosh, thank God we have somebody like teresa in here to keep us from falling into the trap of believing those annoying 'facts'! And here us dumb Alaskans were lead to believe that just because California is in the national news EVERY DAY for being flat broke and deep in the red, it isn't (somehow) 'saving' those states that have a surplus! Guess what? Every state in the Union that is a tax donor has crumbling infrastructure. A completely different topic from public debt.

Stil afraid to go to the Tax Foundation website? Why? Are you afraid Sarah Palin is going to accuse you of "palling around with people who understand mathematics"? That might be a capital crime to Republicans. "

Oh, and one more thing...California is currently over $80 billion in debt. But as recently as yesterday the estimated cost of recovering and restoring it's infrastructure to pre-recession levels would be in the TRILLIONS. Yes, teresa...TRILLIONS.

I was a Republican, didn't voter her as governor and darn well didn't vote for McCain/Palin! Palin has ruined the party, we better get some strong leaders without the deceit. Palin has no business in politics. I compare her to Anna Nicole Smith but with a flat chest but equally educated! "

We had villages hungry and cold. Keep putting a feather in the gov's hat we see a turkey. The cuts were made for her agenda not for Alaska. I believe when TransCanada and Exxon get on the table we'll see all the flaws, all the rush all her weakness and waste of our money. Palin wants credit for the pipeline that is all she cares. She us sold out "

There's not one thing other than her soon to be failed pipeline dream, that she acknowledges. Palins cronies are in her pocket, you bet we're mad, she's lousy and deceitful. Hater I'm not I just wanted the corruption to stop, we got the big one with Palin she just wore a skirt and smelled good at the time, her governing stinks! Lousy governor "

Maybe people can stop all the forked tongue smears, and look at the State of Alaska doing great, while many of the lower forty eight are hitting unemployment rates of 10 and 11 percent. "

" I agree with you 100% Toni. I use to live in California under very restrictive building codes. Those same codes cost money to maintain. Often those costs are passed down to the "little guy" in order for the deal makers to make their profit. Those costs made housing and running small businesses almost impossible to maintain financially. That's why many of us left the state. I think Governor Palin made a wise decision for the people of Alaska. One I'm sure those of the Democrat persuasion will never thank her for. "

California's oil revenue? That's a joke. They don't tap 99% of what they have in order to keep the warm fuzzy people happy.
    2) Rainboo states that Palin was able to set aside funds thanks to our surplus. Yes. Exactly. Thanks for proving my point. She didn't go spend-happy like a liberal government does. "Welfare state"? When we have a surplus? Does 2+2=5 too? "

Palin didn't bring in the surplus so don't give her credit, she was able last year to set aside funds she didn't generate it. Oh wait, she has her OUTSIDE donors to cover her expenses. The Pac is paying Palin to represent our state outside of Alaska, so when does Alaska benefit? Never it's a national love affair for Palin's agenda. Alaska has a Welfare Government "

There are also articles of city budget shortfalls

So which is it? Myself, I'll believe the Economist over Palin's press flacks but let me know.

I notice you mention California? Why don't we let California keep its oil revenue in the same way Alaskans live off that unearned revenue? "

Alaska has become a WELFARE GOVERNMENT funded by Pac's and webathons to promote our governor, her daily work decisions COULD be influenced by outside donations!!! Think about what personal gain Palin receives knowing she can do as she pleases with these donations. She doesn't use them here in Alaska, so who benefits?. Palin should be impeached! "
