Thomas L. Roth Thomas L. Roth, 56, died on June 28 at his home on Wasilla Lake after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Palmer, Dec. 20, 1952, the son of Dean and Betty (Betts). Thomas graduated from Wasilla High School and then went on to attend college for business in Coeur D’ Alene, Idaho for two years after receiving a scholarship from the National Honor Society. Tom grew up on Wasilla Lake and after living in Anchorage for several years, moved back to the old family home on Wasilla Lake where he enjoyed the view of the lake, mountains and playing with his grandkids. Tom was the general manager at FATS since 1993. He enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, playing basketball, softball, and watching college basketball, especially the NCAA tournament while wagering in fun with his father-in-law Gordon. In his eyes the world revolved around his grandkids and the love of his work. Tom was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Thomas is survived by his wife, Michelle Perdew-Roth of Wasilla; son Justin Roth of Anchorage; son Travis and wife Sarah Roth, grandson Thomas and granddaughter Shyanne of Anchorage; brother Terry and wife Marilyn Roth, nephew Joel Roth of Anchorage; brother Larry and wife Pamela Farrell, nephews Tony and Adam Farrell and niece Jessica Farrell all of Wasilla; step-daughter Kimberly Perdew of Wasilla. A Celebration of Life was held Thursday at Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla.
