Dear citizens of Wasilla and the great state of Alaska.
Thank you for allowing us to meet your friend Sarah Palin. I wanted to write to respond to the extensive ruminating the media and bloggers are doing about Gov. Palin.

Second, I wonder where the outcry of “quitter” was for Janet Napolitano, ex-governor of Arizona; Kathleen Sibellius, ex-governor of Kansas; Hillary Clinton, ex-Senator of New York or Rahm Emmanuel, ex-congressman of Illinois. All of these abandoned their constituents mid-term to enjoy the bigger paycheck and prestige they would enjoy working for President Obama. For that matter, ex-senator Joe Biden, Sen. John McCain and ex-senator Barack Obama both abandoned their constituents mid-term to campaign for office while still taking a paycheck from us.
Third, The media are simply not connected to the American people. Those of us that understand the peril this country is currently in and how far we have strayed from the principles that made us great, honor and respect Sarah’s decision to step down. I understand that she did so in order to allow the Alaska government to function at full efficiency and capacity for the benefit of all it’s people while moving all of the litigation and ankle biters out of the Capitol.
Fourth, we understand that, yes, politicians have to be prepared to take the blows, but Sarah’s values and ideals are so far removed from what the media elite and far left bloggers can even comprehend (I compare darkness to light), that they cannot seem to hear her past their fear of what she stands for. Hence they must attack her, her children, her education, her fashion, etc. in the most heinous ways they can imagine and in ways that have never been done before, even to other female candidates. Sarah is strong enough to take it, but she must and will protect her family.
Fifth, we are anxious to see her here in the Lower 48. I immediately understood that her first aim is to help conservative governors and others get elected or retain their seats in 2010. That must be accomplished before worrying about 2012. We have a great candidate here in Florida who needs her support in his run for Senate against the state and D.C., establishment-backed moderate Gov. Charlie Crist. We wish he would step down while he’s running since he spent 1/2 of his term getting married. Sarah, if you happen to read this, please check out http://www.marcorubio.com, especially the video of his farewell as Speaker of the House. You speak the same language.
Would we love to see Sarah in office? Absolutely. I could see the Senate in 2012 or the White House. But I will support Sarah in her well-considered decision no matter what she decides is her next step. The media just cannot abide not being “in the know.” And we the people love that.

You need to re-do your math
Obama's term as the United States Senator
from Illinois began January 4, 2005.
He announced his decision to run for president Feb. 10, 2007. So he was a U.S. Senator for over TWO YEARS before running - NOT 118 days.
And he was a state senators for almost EIGHT years before he took the U.S. Senate seat.
Please stop with your falsehoods. "

Stop comparing Palin to Obama! Obama had FAR less time in office, no executive experience, no budget experience and he's a wonderful, wonderful socialist who knows what's best for us dumb citizens!
I can't wait for the day when he takes ALL of our money for really great social programs, and forces those evil successful people to pay my bills!
DUHHHHHHH.......

As long as philandering, lying, stealing, murder, rights for whales but not for unborn babies etc etc are your definition of "decency and honesty"!! WOW! I thought you looked nuts in some of the OTHER blogs, but this one takes the cake! "

Sarah thinks it's fun to quote from extremists who call for political assassinations over civil rights and to tell lie after lie about the Bridge to Nowhere and even her husband's own voter's registration.
I'll agree that she and the left are poles apart on the values issue. I'll keep honesty. You Palin supporters can keep valuing lies and other sociopathic behavior. "

You can't be serious! President Obama majored in Political Science and went on to obtain a law degree (graduated at the top of his class). He was the editor of the Harvard Law Review, he taught Constitutional Law for ten years, was a State Senator and a U.S. Senator. There is no way you can think that Sarah as even a tenth of the brains that Our President has. Actually I am hoping she runs for 2012 because I would love to see her up against Obama in the debates ROTFLMAO! "

Palin went to several lower grade colleges, and barely graduated with a journalism degree. She barely traveled anywhere, went into small town politics, and became govenor of the most unpopulated state in the nation. That is only the tip of the iceburg of Palin's severe shortcomings.
No difference? Are you on drugs or are you incapable of discernment? "

Why would Sarah need all that experience? Don't get me wrong...there was a time (until recently) when I agreed with what you say whole-heartedly...
But the nation is swooning and clasping it's hands together in joy over putting a man in office with even LESS experience than Sarah. He had NO budget oversight experience, NO executive experience, NO military oversight experience. Heck, he was barely beginning his first term as a junior senator! Most 'average joes' that I know have more experience than Obama!
Apparently, to the average American nowadays...experience just doesn't matter. Only party affiliation. "

Palin's 'claim'/fib that taxpayer's money was wasted has already been debunked. Everyone should be happy that lawyers had to WORK for once for their paychecks! LOL ;) "

Palin was not called to higher public office, but chose for her own personal, cowardly, and erratic reasons to step down mid term.
She committed political and public suicide. Get over it! And, let's move on to more important matters! "
