The Frontiersman continues to show it’s inadequacies with the Aug. 4 editorial. In the next to the last paragraph, the editor challenges the Tea Party Patriots about registering voters. If this paper actually covered the event they would know that voter registration was available along with voter information from any group that takes the time to be present.
Voting is a right and a privilege in this country. Individuals are responsible for registering and voting and there are many people who help those that need assistance.

These are truly non-partisan events, we do not all agree on how, but all agree that government needs to change. We can not continue to grow deficits that our grandchildren and soon our great-grandchildren will have to pay.
It is time for everyone in this county, starting at the top with our President and Congress and continuing down through unions and organizations to the local people, to tighten their belts and make deep cuts now.
In Alaska we could be the example to the rest of the country if we wanted to. We need to refuse all stimulus money, tell our federal government we are going to pull our own weight and not ask for or take money for Alaska projects and set a budget within our state income (without new taxes). The time has come to stop living on OPM (Other People’s Money). We need to live up to the saying, “Alaska Is What America Was!”
We need to be 21st Century pioneers. We need to take care of ourselves and neighbors at the local level first.

Get your facts straight. The current recession started with drastic easing of banking and lending regulations that were PUSHED and PASSED by the liberals in Congress, including Obama and Pelosi. The banks and lending institutions got greedy and the American consumer ignored economists saying this can't last forever and were WARNING us of this happening! Throw in Bush not doing enough to stop it, Greenspan not doing his job etc etc and here we are! Only somebody with no understanding or willingness to grasp reality still spouts that 'it's all Bush's fault' nonsense! "

For your information, Bush, in 2001, inherited a balanced budget. He quickly squandered it on an ill-advised, and illegal war on Iraq. He had no exit policy in place. He ignored domestic infrastructure, and his handling of the aftermath of Katrina was a disaster.
He put us into such deep debt that America now owes China. "

As for the teabag zombies, forget about it. Any citizen can register people to vote. It is set up to be a non-partisan activity. This does not preclude partisan people from registering voters. The voters registry does try to set clear rules that partisanism plays no part.
Yet, all of this has little to do with either Acorn or teabaggers, or little green purple people eaters. It is no defense of teabaggers. The letter is naft from start to end. "

Between April 6 and April 13, Fox News featured 20 segments on the "tea parties" and aired over 73 commercial`s for their coverage of the events. Fox anchors Beck, Hannity, Cavuto and others actually went on the road to host various tea parties around the country. In Washington, Fox News Tobin Smith welcomed participants "on behalf of Fox News Channel." Clearly, the old slogan of Fox News - "we report, you decide" - has been replaced by the more accurate "we create, you participate." "
