DAMAGED PROPERTY

Aug. 10, 1:24 p.m.: A 66-year-old Wasilla woman called to report the fire hydrant at Nelson Ave. and Graybark Dr. had been damaged.

ASSAULT

Aug. 10, 9:51 p.m.: Police responded to a disturbance between Melanie Packer, 33, and Crystal Langrord, 28, both of Wasilla. Charges will be sent to the district attorney.

DWLS

Aug. 11, 12:12 a.m., Crusey St. and West Point Dr.: Velvet Fox, 23, Wasilla, arrested for DWLS. Bail: $250.

LOST PROPERTY

Aug. 11, 11:10 a.m.: A 46-year-old Wasilla man reported the loss of several firearms.

ACCIDENT

Aug. 11, 1:52 p.m., Blue Lupine Dr. and Dimond Wy.: Stanley Boley, 73, Wasilla, missed the turn onto Dimond and was backing up in the road when he hit a vehicle driven by Eric Atkinson, 28, Wasilla.

WARRANT

Aug. 11, 9:47 p.m., Nelson Ave.: A 16-year-old Wasilla boy was arrested on a $250 warrant for failure to appear in court on an underage drinking charge.

THEFT

Aug. 12, 10:43 p.m., Carrs: A 16-year-old girl allegedly attempted to leave without paying for $25 worth of cosmetics. Charges are being sent to Juvenile Intake.

ALASKA STATE TROOPERS

ASSAULT

Aug. 6, 11:25 p.m., Diana Ave.: A 15-year-old boy allegedly assaulted two family members and damaged property. Charges: Assault, criminal mischief. No bail set.

Aug. 7, 8:48 a.m., Mile 46 Parks Hwy.: Stella M. Lieb, 48, Houston, allegedly threatened another person with a knife and fled prior to troopers arrival but was arrested in the courthouse parking lot. Charge: Assault. Bail: $5,000.

Aug. 7, 9:11 p.m., McKechnie Lp.: Raymond L. Rossiter, 59, Wasilla, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. Charge: Assault.

Aug. 7, 8:16 p.m., Gooseberry Cir.: Joseph M. Ortega, 22, Wasilla, stopped leaving the scene of a reported assault, had allegedly assaulted a person and smashed the person’s windshield. He also allegedly tried to bribe the victim. Charges: Assault, criminal mischief, unlawful contact, interfering with an official proceeding. No bail set.

Aug. 7, 10:10 p.m., Willow Station Rd.: Wyatt Jacobs, 37, Willow, allegedly punched a family member in the face and slammed her head against the ground. Charge: Assault. No bail set.

THEFT

Aug. 6, 9:15 p.m., N. Willow Ln.: A red 2005 Honda Rancher 400 with a winch was stolen from a home. Loss: $4,000.

Aug. 6, 5:50 p.m., Irwin Lp.: Someone kicked in the back door of a home and stole $300 in jewelry. Damage: $75.

Aug. 7, 1:21 p.m., Rainbow St.: Someone stole a 12-foot trailer from a yard sometime between Aug. 3 and Aug. 4.

Aug. 10, 5:30 p.m., Resenoff Ln.: A back door was pried open and a $4,000 flat-screen television, several sets of golf clubs worth a combined $3,000, a $1,000 wine collection and numerous CDs were stolen.

Aug. 10, 6:15 p.m., S. Binnacle Cr.: A back door was pried open and a .44 Ruger revolver, several $1,500 laptop computers, a $1,000 flat screen television, artwork, jewelry and several iPods were stolen.

Aug. 10, 7:31 p.m., Gosling Cir.: A blue-and-white Fiberform lake boat was stolen from a home.

Aug. 11, 5 a.m., Mile 36 Parks Hwy.: Brian K. Millard, 32, Wasilla, allegedly stole a car stereo from a used car lot. He was apprehended a short distance away driving a car with the stolen property inside. He was arrested on warrants for escape on a DWLS and theft charge and for failure to appear in court on a DWLS charge. New charges; theft, criminal mischief, trespassing. Bail for the warrants: $1,500. Bail for the new charges still pending. Passenger Marlena J. Adams, 28, Wasilla, allegedly tried to conceal Millard’s identity and was arrested for hindering prosecution. Bail: $2,000.

Aug. 12, 7:22 a.m., Hollywood Rd.: A tan and white, 22-foot Bayliner worth $10,000 with a 125-horsepower Mercury outboard motor was stolen form a home sometime between 10 p.m. Aug. 11 and 6 a.m. Aug. 12.

Aug. 12, 9:55 p.m., Blue Lupine Dr.: A yellow purse containing credit cards, a checkbook, cash and military identification was stolen from a vehicle. Loss: $150.

ACCIDENTS

Aug. 6, 6 p.m., Caribou Rd.: An 8-year-old Wasilla boy was southbound, crossing Bogard Rd. on an ATV, was hit by a westbound Saturn sedan being driven by Joshua Ness, 26, Wasilla. No injuries. ATV undamaged. Damage to Saturn: $1,000. The 8-year-old was cited for not yielding.

Aug. 11, 4:40 p.m., Echo Ave.: A 16-year-old Wasilla boy backed out of a driveway into the path of Ronald Kuzina, 63, Wasilla. No injuries. Teen cited for not yielding.

Aug. 12, 1:49 p.m., Trunk Rd. and College Dr.: Anthony Carrington, 27, Wasilla, lost control of his 2003 Toyota Echo and rolled into the ditch. Citation: No proof of insurance.

RECKLESS DRIVING

Aug. 6, 1 p.m., Willow: Bruce Vanbuskirk, 26, Wasilla, stopped for speeding and passing in a no passing zone. Summons: Reckless driving.

Aug. 7, 5:10 a.m., Wasilla: Nancy L. Murphy, 39, Wasilla, arrested on warrant for failure to appear on a DWLS charge. Bail: $750.

Aug. 8, 9 a.m., Mile 16 Knik-Goose Bay Rd.: Ronald D. Oliver, 44, Wasilla, contacted for taking several fish over his limit, arrested on warrant for failure to appear in court on DWLS charge. Bail: $500.

Aug. 8, 9:30 p.m., Talkeetna Spur Rd.: Stephen King, 22, Wasilla, arrested at a traffic stop on warrant for violating probation and violating a domestic violence protective order. Bail: $1,500.

Aug. 9, 9:15 p.m., Mile 1 Willow-Fishhook Rd.: Patricia White, 49, Willow, stopped for a moving violation, arrested on warrant for violating probation.

Aug. 8, 8 a.m., Palmer Courthouse: Heather Brown, 33, Wasilla, turned herself in on a warrant for failure to report to prison on a DUI charge. No bail.

Aug. 12, 1:50 a.m., Bogard Rd. and Stoney Hollow Dr.: Pavel V. Pukharev, 19, Wasilla, arrested at a traffic stop on warrants for failure to appear in court on an insurance requirements charge and for failure to appear in court on a shoplifting charge. Bail: $1,000.

Aug. 12, 7:53 a.m., Mile 80 Parks Hwy.: Siegfried Pedersen, 54, Willow, arrested at a traffic stop on $1,500 warrant for two counts of harassment.

Aug. 12, 10:55 p.m., Lewis Loop Rd.: Troopers investigating reports of high-caliber gunshots arrested Justin Dillon, 21, Wasilla, the shooter, on a warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge. Bail: $1,500.

DRUGS

Aug. 6, 5:27 p.m., Mile 38.5 Parks Hwy.: Mark Oppegaard, 49, Anchorage, stopped on a reckless driving complaint. Charges: Drug misconduct, reckless driving. Bail: $1,000.

Aug. 9, 11:47 p.m., Sunrise Rd. and Orrie Cir.: Angila L. Flim, 32, Wasilla, parked on the side of the road with no lights on. Summons: DWLR, drug misconduct.

DUI

Aug. 6, 4:11 a.m., Big Lake Rd. and Hughes Homestead Rd.: A 16-year-old motorist was stopped by concerned citizens. Troopers learned he’d been in an accident at Big Lake Rd. and Hibbard Rd. and fled the scene. Charges: DUI, underage drinking, minor driving after drinking, NVOL, leaving the scene of an accident. No bail pending arraignment.

Aug. 8, 2:03 a.m., Wasilla: Walter Dixon, 50, Big Lake, stopped for an equipment violation. Charges: DUI, weapons misconduct, refusing a chemical test.

Aug. 8, 11:59 p.m., Seward-Meridian Pkwy. and Palmer-Wasilla Hwy.: Ian Wisecarver, 22, Wasilla, driving a 1991 Toyota Camry, hit a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Kenneth Baker, 28, Kenai. Both cars were stopped at the light. Wisecarver arrested for DUI and weapons misconduct.

Aug. 9, 2:14 a.m., Bogard Rd. near Copper Creek Rd.: Richard L. Stewart, 53, Wasilla, stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, marijuana possession. Bail: $500.

Aug. 10, 12:45 a.m., Big Lake Rd. and Parks Hwy.: Jim Perry Olsen-Holst, 28, Anchorage, stopped for a moving violation. Charges: DUI, DWLR. bail: $1,250.

Aug. 10, 2:25 a.m., Parks Hwy. and Johnson Rd.: Cari Whitten, 26, Anchorage, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: DUI. Bail: $500.

Aug. 10, 2:41 p.m., Mile 90 Glenn Hwy.: Shyrel Taylor, 39, Anchorage, northbound with her two children, lost control and got stuck in the ditch. Charges: DUI, DWLS, child endangerment. No bail set.

Aug. 11, 1:50 a.m., near the Wasilla post office: Vanessa Amox, 32, Wasilla, stopped for an equipment violation. Charge: Felony DUI. Bail: $5,000.

Aug. 6, Fish Creek: Hanki Yi, 33, Anchorage, cited for fishing without a license and retaining silver salmon in waters closed to retaining silvers.

Aug. 6, Fish Creek: Aleksandr Averyanov, 38, Wasilla, cited for possessing silver salmon in a closed season.

Aug. 6, Fish Creek: Konstantin Antonov, 41, Wasilla, cited for failing to record his salmon before leaving the fishing site.

Aug. 6, Fish Creek: Matthew Sweet, 32, Wasilla, cited for retaining silver salmon in closed waters.
