Aug. 25, Fish Creek: Mathew T. Hamilton, 21, Kentucky, cited for fishing during a closed season.

Aug. 26, Mud Lake: Kenneth J. Eisenhuth, 22, Wasilla, cited for using unlawful methods of taking game after he allegedly shot at a black bear from a moving airboat.

Aug. 27, Miller’s Reach: Walter Lovell, 54, Chugiak, charged with wanton waste, taking a sublegal bull moose and evidence tampering for allegedly shooting a moose with undersized antlers then hiding it from view under small logs.

ASSAULT

Aug. 29, 9:23 a.m., Hilscher Rd.: Troopers responding to a disturbance pulled over James V. McCarver, who was allegedly driving drunk after having assaulted two family members. Charges: Domestic violence assault, weapons misconduct, DUI, criminal mischief. No bail set.

Aug. 29, 3:54 p.m., Susitna River Rd.: Mark Karaffa, 51, Trapper Creek, contacted walking away from a disturbance. Karaffa had allegedly assaulted a family member then tried to drive away before the family member pulled the keys from the ignition and stole the family member’s cell phone, threatening to throw it in the river. Charges: Assault, DUI, criminal mischief. No bail set.

Aug. 29, 6:27 p.m., Phenix Ave.: James M. Gladden, 47, Wasilla, allegedly entered a neighbor’s house with an ax handle and tried to hit people with it. Charges: Burglary, assault. Bail: $10,000.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Aug. 29, 6:27 p.m., Phenix Ave.: Troopers investigating a disturbance arrested Edwin L. Bates, 52, Wasilla, after he refused to cooperate. Charge: Disorderly conduct.

Aug. 29, 7:45 p.m., Mile 103 Parks Hwy.: Brandon Bleavins, 27, Anchorage, allegedly started a fight with a friend then left the scene. He was also allegedly intoxicated in possession of a loaded firearm. Charges: Disorderly conduct, weapons misconduct. Bail: $1,000.

Aug. 27, 4 p.m., Mile 63 Glenn Hwy.: Kevan Johnson, 42, Sutton, stopped for speeding. Summons: Marijuana possession. 

Aug. 28, 11:43 p.m., Mile 32 Glenn Hwy.: Nathan Levad, 22, Anchorage, stopped for speeding, had a bag of marijuana in his car. Summons: Drug misconduct.

Aug. 28, 10:30 p.m., Colony High School: A 16-year-old boy allegedly had marijuana on school grounds. Charges will be sent to Juvenile Justice.

Aug. 29, 8:38 p.m., Mile 31 Glenn Hwy.: Jacob Kesler, 20, Anchorage, stopped for speeding. Summons: Marijuana possession.
